    Default State Laws

I'm about to start working for a new club that is in a different state than my old club. I'm nervous about the state laws, especially because another club in the city just got shut down. Is there a place where I can find out what is and is not legal in the state so I don't put myself at risk by violating the laws?

    Thanks!

I don't know of any internet site offhand that has a list of strip club laws by state or anything, but you could probably go to your town's City Hall/Courthouse and ask. You might also try the police station....see if you can speak to an officer on the drug/vice/gambling squad as they are usually the ones who make the busts in the clubs. I know it may seem akward to ask them, but if it's their job to enforce the laws then they should be able to tell you what they are. Also, you might think about getting in touch with a lawyer familiar with the adult industry. They may also be able to answer your questions. And if the clubs in your area are getting busted it might be a good idea to talk to a lawyer anyway......find one you like and give them a retainer fee, just in case you are ever at the club if it gets busted. Hope this helps. Good luck.

City ordinances vary so the girls here are your best source on the subject, in my opinion. Which brings me to this. The only info on this subject i found was this excluding indivdual posts by the girls. Need a license?

I recommend StripperWeb set up a page where the girls can look up this info by state/city. Pryce could put out a request for the members to fill-in the basic laws/rules where they have worked. Maybe there is a lawyer lurking here that could help also.

    Just a thought.......

In most places it's "no grinding, when giving lapdances you must be within a certain amount of distance from the customer, tipping in garter only" I know those are the laws in Ohio but nobody really follows them because it's harder to make money if you do. But lots of clubs have been getting busted.
