Alright, so this week marks my second week at Tar-Jzay (Target). Well, I go in last night, and there were two cops parked outside the staff entrance. So, I walk right passed them on my merry way, take a few last sips of my precious coffee before I have to throw it in my locker until break time. Then, we all punch in and head to receiving where we'll get our placements. I get softlines-kids. Yay!
While we're back there, the supervisor informs us that we'll be starting "Lockdown" from 12:30-5:00am. This means no one can come in or go out after our first break until 5. She then tells us that a co-worker of ours was terminated and taken into custody, and the whole "lockdown" thing is a security measure. She didn't go into any more detail than that.
So on the first break, we're all outside talking, and we found out what happened. It seems that co-worker had threatened the lives of the supervisor and a few other employees (to other people, not to them directly), and was arrested because the dude was serious. He had even talked about bringing a gun to work. Gods, what an idiot.
Moral of the story:
If you want to vent, do it AWAY from work, not to other EMPLOYEES. Even if the dude wasn't going to go through with what he said, it causes a bunch of crap.
Well, that was the most exciting night I've had with this job thus far.. Can't wait to see what happens tonight.. LOL
