When you reflect on it, this is a rather strange place. You can come here and share feelings among people you never see and usually, and “usually” get unconditional support.
This is turning out to be a rather odd introduction into THANKS Giving. It is such a contrast for two families that I know and I have no idea how to make heads or tails of it.
Last week a woman who worked for me in a previous job passed away after fighting breast cancer for three years. At age 45, she leaves behind a husband and two sons under the age of 10. She sent me an email last month letting me know that it had gone to her brain and it did not look hopeful. Her service was on Monday.
About 2 hours ago, I received more bad news. A man I had worked for had a 32 year old daughter. A very wealthy family. No worries about money or much else. The daughter was living at home. She was healthy but not happy. She committed suicide on Tuesday.
Two families with not a lot to give thanks for this year. I just can’t make sense or it. Why do some people fight and lose the battle, and other people just give up life. I just don't know how to feel.
To everyone here. I hope that you have something / anything to give thanks for. I am a very lucky guy and Thankful that my burdens are light at this point in my life. May yours get lighter.
