I knew a girl who was in this order back when I was a young teen. I think the Masons are for boys I forget what the one for girls was called.

I think it's some sort of secret society.

My boyfriend used to be a mason but he thought it was boring so he quit.

    The girls are Eastern Stars.

The mason's are a boy's club. There are others as well (like the Elks.) Any information about the so called "Secret society" can be found at your local library.

Seems like CF has it pretty much the way I understand it, except because of who the FreeMasons are and have been, there's alot attached that makes peole think "THEY run the world.

Problem with that is, everyone has a different picture of THEY.

How about the Shriners. They meet in Mosques and wear Fez's. Not a good plan in todays Arab-phobic world.

I Like the OPTOMISTS Club. I wonder if there is a Pessimist Club I can join?

My glass isnt half full OR half empty ..... I only wanted half a damn glass to begin with!

I think it is all about whether or not the glass was filled to the halfway point or it was full and someone emptied it.

My eldest brother is a Free Mason. Its not a secret society. It is a closed society. Freemasonry has been around for centuries, and, as the article states, a large number of our leading politicians over the last 200 years have been Freemasons.

Any stories of conspiracies and other claims is pure crap.

The glass is not half full or half empty--the glass is too large.

My uncle was a mason. It is 90% an excuse to dress up in funny clothes and drink beer and swap lies while making your comrades/family think you are doing something special other than drinking beer and swaping lies. It is Dad going on the computer to surf the web from a lower tech time when you needed an excuse to lock the world of family out. 10% of it is making connections with other people who might have a job or you can network with.

    Spot on, Monty.

When my brother's ex-wife enacted her brand of nuttiness and left him, his fellow Masons rallied around him with things like money, places to stay, and the like. They really contributed to him getting through all of the crap that went down.

Like people involved in governments or corporations, this is probably true for the "lower" 99% of people involved. However, it's distinctly possible that the top 1% of "insiders" have much more going on in the way of knowledge and agenda than the 99% are allowed to hear about !!!

    Merovingian heresy, anyone ?

Freemasons are very prevelent in my town . All the rich kids are brought into by their dads.
It is a society that is very well known within white protestant american groups. The Italian sector is thought to have murdered a banker in London in the 70s Or 60s .
