    Default Workouts are Boring

I always get going really hard with working out, then I'll see results which is good. I'll switch up what I'm doing, but no matter what I just get so bored with working out and I stop. I was doing really well but I caught a cold so I stopped working out for 4 days and I gained everything back! It's always something that discourages me from going on with it and it totally sux. Thanks for listening.

Have you tried getting a friend to work out with you. I know that helped me keep at it.

Have you tried hiking or rollerskating? Those are both really fun cardio workouts. Swimming or surfing too.

I would say instead of working out or exercising.... just increase your daily activity. Being active is the key not so much exercise per say. Being active can range from cleaning your house (vacuuming, dusting, etc does burn calories), walking to the shops, walking anywhere you can, playing with your kids (if you have any), walking the dog (or even offer to walk a friend's dog), mucking around type of dancing (not necessarily our type of dancing) and so forth.

Just increase your daily activity levels... be more active. This is all you need to do in the end. Along with giving your body the right nutrients... then you will be set.

It saved me! My buddy and I both dread going to the gym, but having the support helps so much. Plus we get to talk the whole time. It's more like a sweaty social hour now.

I need m Gym, I am an addict! Otherwise I feel fat (I think I am getting fatter - my man tells me no but I feel it!!!!) It is boring sometimes, I change my set of excercises from time to time.
Find yourself a partner to go with you. It is much more fun and you won't skip so many times

Sometimes what helps me when I workout is switching machines like eliptacal to stairstepper to treadmill. Or I just keep thinking on how I'm gonna look like when I'm done. Plus, always changing my music helps too.

I agree with Tiger, lately i've been SO unmotivated on the treadmill (well...all cardio in general, hehe) I mean i would still go to the gym, but i'd cut my usual 30-45 minute cardio sessions to like 15 or 20 because I was bored. But when I brought my discman and played really good energizing music, that pumped me up. I did an hour of seriously hard cardio and I didn't even notice because I was listening to music I love. My gym plays the radio, and it's not even very loud, so when I don't have the discman...there isn't much for motivation.
