The more I read this, the more it pissed me off because of the generalizations.

Hmmm I read this and didn't see any real distortions from reality other than the FACT that some women have different values, motovations and standards than others which I see as a GOOD POINT.
Remember this is in CANADA where things are a bit different especially concerning prostitution. Much of this Government involvement would not apply in the USA.
What exactly about this article made you so ?cranky?

I guess it was this one quote that got me riled up:Originally Posted by DJ_WuLf

It kind of made the Canadian women sound pious and holier than thou. I did see the good points made, but that one statement just hit me wrong. Maybe I'm just really in a cranky mood today. I think I will go break some glass to work the crankiness out. (I work in stained glass so this isn't an indication of a bad side.)
^ Not to insult or anything...but isn't that EXACTLY what the Americans say about the foreign dancers here?
I don't think Country of origin has anything to do with motivation, values and standards. It does however sound exactly like what the non-extra girls say about the extra girls right here in the good ole USA. (Like when they say ...they must be sooo desperate/skanky/low self esteem to DO THAT) Some people here think the non-extra girls sound kinda pious and holier than thou when they SWARM on any girl who admits to doing "extras" in US clubs.

It's shabby journalism to quote, as the principal rebuttal, some lawyer who hasn't been in a strip club in 20 years. Canadian-born dancer controlled by biker gangs? It makes you wonder.![]()
Any generalizations/prejudicial statements, no matter the source, bother me. This one in particular was Canadian based. I also admitted at the time I was living up to my nick.
the article didn't really make any sense. Was there a point to this? and biker gangs? c'mon now.
