Flat out what is the best club for customers and dancers in metro Boston. By my definition metro Boston is any club within 30 minutes of downtown Boston w/no traffic.

It's hard to say BEST when none of them are even GOOD. That's why so many guys do the 50 minutes to Providence, which is another world.
Providence or Woonsocket, indeed.

So you guys can make it from downtown Boston to Providence in 30 minutes? Providence is a haul from Boston, and obviously gets plenty of attention here. Thanks for your responses, but I'd like to see metro Boston talk.

The only way to get from downtown beantown to Providence in 30 minutes is on the Accela, maybe. 45 minutes is more like it in light traffic.
All the clubs that close to Beacon hill are rather on the lame side--at least the ones I have been in that are still open. I think there are 5 clubs that meet your criteria. Take the extra 15-20 minutes and go to Prov.

Join and ask the folks there about Mass clubs.
I agree with the majority here, there are no good clubs in Massachusetts. Even if it takes 2 hours, it's still worth it to go to Providence.

WEll,, actually it would depend on what HE consitutes as "good". If he has no need for the touchy feely places, then there are several hot girls in nice clubs within boston area. Foxy lady in Brockton is a nice place and has some hot girls on at least at some times. Alot of guys like Alex's in Stoughton, I cant say I had a great experience there but only gave it one try. And a very nice place is Centerfolds near Worcster,,,, not sure if that is 30 mins though.
I travel an hour and half from my house on the NH/MA border to go to RI clubs.
It's that much of a difference. And well worth the effort.
If you don't mind needing binoculars to see your lap dancer, then by all means, hit the Boston clubs. If however, you like to actual be in relative close proximity--or direct contact--with your dancer, go to RI.

OPEN, this would be the pick of the litter if you don't want contact.Originally Posted by OPEN

I think Providence gets plenty of attention on this board. I don't have the time available to make the trip there, or to Worcester, on a regular basis. FL Brockton is okay, a little dark, not much stage dancing, but attractive women. My preference, given my constraints, is Alex's. I can stop in, spend an hour relaxing, and hit the road. I can't be bothered with either downtown Boston option.
Always nice to have free-flowing discussion, but this rather begs the question of why ask something when the anwer is already decided upon.![]()

There are other venues that I know nothing about in this area. The Providence experience has been well documented. If one has to allegedly settle for metro Boston, where else do people enjoy themselves?

King Arthurs Lounge in Chelsea (10 minutes over the Tobin Bridge, You'll need a Portuguese to English Dictionary, but the women are hot), Alex's in Stoughton (30 minutes), Centerfolds Worcester (NOT Centerfolds 2000) are all better than Centerfolds or the Glass Slipper- the only 2 clubs in Boston Proper.

Gorilla Balls reviews metro Providence clubs. He visited Alex's recently:
Thursday 2:45 - 3:30pm.......Maybe 20 customers and 12 dancers. Some stiff bouncer escorts you to your seat after you pay $3 to get in. 3 small stages, 3 girls at a time. air dances for $15. Upon further review their did seem to be some contact. Girls were all 7-8s, probably the ones who don't like giveing real lap dances in RI..........In a nutshell this place sucks. It took GB 30 minutes to putt putt his way back to Rt 128 with all the rush hour traffic. Maybe GB has gotten so spoiled by the grind in recent years that looking just does nothing. But GB would rather sit in rush hour traffic than watch this garbage....
Whatever, Rockie. Maybe you can review the take-out for us sometime.![]()
The Foxy Lady in Brockton is a beautiful club- it cost multi-millions to build and its decorated for Xmas now (decorations were put up a couple days ago) with Xmas trees onstage, ornaments hanging from the chandeliers, cocktail waitresses in red and fur trimed santa dresses. If you haven't been there you should visit. It's very popular on weekends- sometimes they run out of seats downstairs but they open up the upstairs and have dancers strip up there.
I don't blame you if you want to go to Providence though- it's more contact but if you stay in the Boston area Foxy Lady is very classy and there isn't a line on the floor for lapdances like at Centerfolds so dances are closer.

I think this thread belongs in Club Chat.
Duh.
Bad me.
Cotton, I agree that Foxy in Brockton is class for sure. I have nt been lately but would love to schedule a visit. If I knew YOU would be there I would make it a point.

Yoda, Are there any safety issues related to King Arthur's? Locals only, access in and out, whatever else...I'm asking, not accusing!

Well, a Providence strip club manager got shot to death there a while back, but I'm cool with that.![]()
SW2 was it King Arthur's or Squire in Revere where the guy got shot?
Rockie,
What are you looking for? Are you content with watching a stage show and having a nice conversation or are you looking for a place to get a private dance?.....Are you willing to spend for VIP/Champagne rooms?....Are you looking for a classy high end type place or a friendly neighborhood bar type atmosphere?
Here's a quick run down on the "Boston Area" clubs. Feel free to ask for more detail.
--------------------------------------
In Downtown Boston:
Centerfolds: all nude, no contact, classy, gown club, expensive, small club (20 guys and the place feels crowded), has private dance area on first floor, champagne rooms upstairs.
Glass Slipper: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID the place has free cover at all times for a reason. If you do dare to go in ... there are no private dances available. Dancers perform up on a stage behind the bar, you have to reach over the bar just to tip them. Don't waste time or money in here.
Just outside of Downtown:
Aga's, Jamaica Plain: Really a place for locals
King's Lounge, Chelsea: all nude, no contact, no cover, kind of a small club, fairly in-expensive. If you're like Yoda and like Brazillian women this may be the place for you.
Squire, Revere: all nude, no contact, medium size club, has a metal detector at the entrance (you can draw your own conclusion), has a long winding stage a private dance area and a champagne room.
Cabaret, Peabody: all nude, no contact, medium size club. Personally I thought it was kind of a road house. Half the tables are picnic tables. Big bar in the middle of the club. The stage is shaped in a cross and has a 1 ft' plexiglass wall around the edge. Private dances are available, but are all air.
Within a Half Hour
Alex's, Stoughton: all nude, light contact, small club, gown club on stage, reasonable prices. Place has a neighborhood bar type feel to it. No champage rooms or true private dance area (usually just done at the back of the club). Private dances are the best deal around at $15 per song and are not always complete air. Personally my favorite MA club.
Foxy Lady, Brockton: all nude, light contact, large club, gown club, expensive. Probably the most well known club in MA. Very large and well appointed club. Tons of private dance and champagne room choices. Huge main stage, three small satellite stages. No stage poles, and dancers are not allowed to do floor work on stage.
Little Further 45-50 min (at this point you might as well drive to Prov.)
Zach's, Mashpee: all nude, light contact, small club. Only club on the cape. Best in the summer.
Ten's, Salisbury Beach: all nude, no contact, medium club. Large main stage, three satellite stages, private dance room - $10 per song (best deal for a MA air dance).
Kitten's, Salisbury: (Used to be Lion's Inn) all nude, no contact. Have not been since the name change - wasn't much to write about before anyway.
Mac's II, Billerica: all nude, light contact, small club, JUICE BAR. 18+ all the time so crowd tends to be mostly on the young side. Highest level of contact available during a private dance in MA, which of course isn't saying much.
Blue Moon, Tyngsboro: all nude, no contact, small club. Recently renovated, have not been since the renovations.
If you can't win. Make the fellow in front of you break the record.
i love RI CLUBS
would never dance in mass!!!
