I stumbled across a few websites a few months ago that talked about corsets and corset training and it was pretty interesting. Has anybody ever tried it? Just curious.

I've seen a couple girls who have. It worked for them, but it takes a long time, and they wore it for about 12 hrs a day. Ended up making their waists a little smaller though they said, but who knows?
It also ruins your ribs and your ability to breathe properly.
You should research the negatives of corsets/corset training...
I do corset training. Posted around here someplace. Anyway, it's a slow progress. You can't just put one on and tie it tight. You will hurt yourself. I have a leather tie string corset, and wear it around about 3 times a week for maybe 2 hours....NOT near enough. I was doing great at first, but lost the time, as i do phone is sooooo un-comfortable moving to sit or bend.
I have 1 (kinfda friend) who will use the corset when eating, you just feel full quicker, and helps with bloating...All the wrong reasons.
Corset training is for a smaller waist, i am not tiny, and LOVE my body, at first i wanted a smaller waist until guys told me this was crazy!
So, i do this in private now and again, but not hardcore anymore. Also, at first you will feel sore, and as you tighten weekly or monthly you will feel sore again. Corset training is by no means natural, but it DOES work. M. Monroe did it.

Sorry this is kinda off topic..... Pamela (not being dykish here) but I love your body as well. You avatar is hot by the way! You confidence and vibrabt positive attitude make you all the more attractive.
As for corsets, I have no idea. I'd be willing ta give it a try tho.
If you train seriously and get the 'perfect' hourglass you need to depend on wearing a corset for support. With time it actually moves your organs around!
TY Concubine! How nice. And yes a corset will move organs a tad. I have a heart condition and when i pulled it tight, my heart would skip beats, and roll around not good.

When I was 19 I did corset training and got my waist down to 20 inches. It took about 6 months or so to get it down to that size.My waist is naturally 26 inches.

I have a good friend that corset trains right now she's at 21inches naturally she's around 27/28 waist. She's been training for a year and a couple months. From what I was told from her use only corsets that are underbust like Victoria style or an Edwardian style. The best bet from what I am told is to get a custom corset since it will be fitted so it will not put pressure inward on the ribs or pelvic bone. And you should never start to feel numb from the corset. Second the corset boning shouldn't be made of elastic or plastic since for effective waist training is for 24 hrs. a day 7 days a week, it just won't last. Like Pamela noted your eating habits will change since you can not gorge while wearing the corset.
I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

I have been dying to try this too!My question is, if you have a tight corset on til u go to work, how long will it leave marks on?(i try to be ready and on the floor in 15 minutes, i would bet after wearing it for hours it might leave somekind of indentation)Also, does it rub off fake tan in spots? Is it safe to sleep in?Any tips for lacing up quick by yourself? How about "Training Belts?"anyone tried those?
I do love corsets as a kinky clothing.
but not exactly for training or to permanently "form" anything. This might be dangerous and I doubt it works. Ony if you really going extrem for a long time you ruin your inner organs and ribcage. the muscles will also shrink.
moving your body is always better than just getting it form-pressed. just my 2cents![]()
I wear a corset sometimes when I'm not working and sleep in it most nights. It's a sort of non-training one though but it does have wires in it. (It's a snap up one with hooks so it isn't adjustable and it's too big for me now- it only made my waist 1/2 inch smaller.) I don't want my waist too small I'd just like it to be another 1 inch smaller since my hips are a bit narrow and it'd look a bit better.
Someone asked about the marks a corset leaves- I get those too but I take off my corset an hour before work just to ensure they'll be no marks. If you sleep in it and wear it on days off you'll still get some effects.
I think I may buy a better corset. Someone who knows about corsets could you tell me if you have to get an expensive one that's custom made or could you just buy one that's smaller than your waist, laces up so it's adjustable, and has wires in it? (I'm hoping not to spend too much.)
I wear corsets a lot to go out but not to try to cinch my waist. I need to eat a little less to do that and work out more. But I love the way they look. However, they can be somewhat uncomfortable. It seems they start to feel better after wearing one for a while, maybe you just get used to not being able to breath!
This is a weird fantasy for some men. On cable, there was a woman with the smallest waist in the world. I can't remember her exact measurements, but it was quite freaky. There was also a man who has a serious fetish for his wife doing corset training and he bought her the most expensive corsets. They looked painful when on!
The thought seems quite quirky, but I don't think I'd like to have my anatomy tampered with in such a way..

For those of you that wear corsets, who ties them? Are there any you can do by yourself?
With most real corsets, once they are tied up properly you can deal with them yourself with the front busk hooks. (You can imagine that when this style first hit in the 1800s, it was quite a liberating thing for a woman to not need a maid to dress her... it allowed for the possibility of "indiscretions").
I know for serious corset training people, they make cotton corsets to sleep in. They also make linings to go next to your skin since hardcore daily wear will chafe.
For just fun corsets that still give you some real waist reduction, I like http://www.darkgarden.com/. These are, however, "real" corsets (metal stays and all that) but they have a great variety for fashion purposes.
