I see Poison every year if I can, although the last couple years they've been here, I've skipped it. Last Summer, they toured with Kiss, and I have no interest in seeing them, so...
But, the best one of their concerts I went to was when they toured with Warrant back in '89.
Also, Andrea Bocelli back in 2000. Two whole hours of sheer bliss listening to that man's voice.

I saw Guns N' Roses on their Chinese Democracy Tour in Toronto, one of the few shows that they actually played, and they were amazing. They played for over 2 hours, now if Axl could only get his shit together so they could release that CD. Probably next best was when GNR and Metallica toured together back in mid 90's.
The first rule of Fight Club is you don't talk about Fight Club.
The best one I can rememeber is Queensryche and Tesla back in the late 80's, early 90's. Honorable mentions go to Chevelle last year at the Norva and recently went to see Dada. Great concert, not too crowded and they played for over 3 hours.

hmm. the first show i ever went to was motley crue/ozzy in...84 i guess it was. so that one sticks out. best shows i can remember though would either be ministry/kmfdm in 89 or 90 or thought industry/godflesh/skinny puppy on the "last rights" tour in 92. i saw that show 7 times. i'm a show junkie.
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.
Best 2 concerts I've been to were randy rhoads last tour with ozzy and jake e lees first

The first post makes me remember Kid Rock's first Austin show, where he played to thirty people inside at Emo's. It was hilarious.
I can pick a top ten. Not just one, no way. When I moved to Austin in 1989 I was 13 and could not believe how much live music there was. I went totally nuts and probably saw about 20 bands a month for ten years.
Camper Van Beethoven one night in 1989 when the venue's power went out and they had to play acoustic, Sonic Youth in 1990 (I adored them for years), Nirvana in 1991 (right before "Teen Spirit" went massive) (both in Austin at the late, lamented Liberty Lunch), the Flaming Lips and the Grifters in a Manhattan, Kansas warehouse in 1994 (back when the Lips were a rock band and while the Grifters had just made two amazing records), Tony Conrad in Atlanta in 1994 (the most captivating part of a mind-blowing avant garde festival), Thinking Fellers Union Local 282 in Memphis in 1996 (insane avant-rock in a ghetto blues club, on the day Princess Di was killed), the Oblivians on New Year's Eve 1997 in Memphis, Super Furry Animals in NYC in 1999 (the first time I'd ever heard or seen them, was blown away), the Strokes' first London show in 2001 (my first experience of the hysteria that is the UK's rock scene).
But I can't forget seeing the Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black shortly before I turned 18 and thinking, "Wow, it looks like fun to be on a stage with your top off." Little did I know.
Jimmy Buffett in....1985?...at Miami Marine Stadium. Man, that was fun...this venue was a converted barge in a lagoon off Biscayne Bay in Miami...it faces some landside seating but you could drive your boat into the lagoon and watch concerts from the water. In this one, there were so many boats it was unbelievable, and people were floating around on rafts and even empty coolers, trying to climb on the barge. Great show.
I saw stevie Ray Vayghn when I was young, don't really remember it though!

Pearl Jam - it was the first concert I ever went to and the vibe was amazing.
