So basically the take away message of this thread is to become a drug addict as to suppress one's appetite in lieu of spending an exorbitant amount of money on food.
j/k.

I do see the point of eating out or fast food a lot because we don't really have time to cook a meal. That's one of the last things I want to do if it's a work night for me.

Yep. Food is expensive. For me, its was the other stuff that was eating my pocketbook- stuff like hair care, makeup, and trips to get my nails and toes done etc.. I only spent around 250 a month on food, but then again, I don't eat much.

Cooking seems to be too much effort for me too, so I grocery shop but eat mostly the same stuff that doesn't need to be cooked, or I cook a bunch of stuff in the crockpot and freeze it. I always have fruit and vegetables around, and this week I'm eating grape nuts with soy milk. Last week it was buckwheat and oatmeal in the microwave.
If I'm working that night, I'll eat out (side salad and chili at wendy's, $2.10 and kinda healthy). Altogether I spend less than fifty dollars a week on food.

I guess I am lucky. ALL my money goes to the bank, I mean all of it. My partner takes care of all the expenses, including allowances![]()
