    Default Is B. O. unavoidable?

Another thread got me to thinking about the connection between body odor and strip clubs. I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert on body odor, having spent a lot of time in France (eg. I'm convinced that they invented oral sex so they could make love without getting their noses too close to each other's arm pits, but that's another subject for discussion.) Anyway I've come to the conclusion that a little BO is not only unavoidable but may actually be desirable. I mean, think about it a little. You girls are dancing all night long under hot lights, then giving lap dances by the dozen, which is very strenuous work. Guys, would you want your lady to keep you waiting while she took a shower every hour? Or would you want her reeking of perfume (which the French invented for exactly this purpose) and then you would be too? Personally I prefer a little BO. Similarly, ladies, ideally we customers should all shower and put on clean clothes before we come visiting, but as a practical matter the only time a lot of guys can hit a club is on their way home from work. Would you rather we come in a littly dirty and smelly or not at all? I thought so. So, people, we should all try to be as clean and fresh as possible, but let's face it, sometimes a little body odor is better than the alternative. I look at BO as an integral part of the strip club experience, along with excessive smoke, deafening music, annoying DJ's, obnoxious bouncers and huge fake breasts. Would we want it any other way?

It's hard to completely avoid it. But when I was dancing I used 'wash cloths' in between. I'd run in back to wipe the sweat off, and put more perfume on. A little body odor isn't 'that extreme', I actually enjoy smelling a little sweat from time to time.

I will take natural body odor over the reeking stench of cigarette smoke anyday. People also forget that body odor is a natural carrier of phermones, and considering how some of my relationships have gone, I have to say I'm a big believer in phermone attraction and retention.

More than that, the aluminiums used in conventional anti-perspirants and deodorants have been linked with Alzheimers and Parkinson's disease. I use aluminium-free Tom's of Maine, unscented.

I really don't mind coming home after a night at the club and smelling like the girl that spent the evening on my lap, but I absolutely hate smelling the smoke in my clothes.

I could also do without obnoxious DJs and excessively loud music, but that's probably asking for too much; my current club is going smoke free in a couple months, so that's a plus and I'll take what I can get.

I have been with a variety of dancers who had no hint of BO, and no obvious perfume cover-up. So I'm not sure it's unavoidable. As to whether it is a bad thing, well, there's BO and then there's BO. Every woman--in a SC or no--has her own scent. Often, these can be quite appealing (read: pheromones). However, at a certain point it can just get too much. I guess my criteria is whether the odor is a constant distraction--if I am noticing it the entire time I am receiving a dance (or most of it), it definitely detracts from the experience. However, an intense perfume smell will do the same, as will an intense reek of cigarettes. So for me, the key thing is moderation in all things.

a smoke free club.. that would be heaven....

A light tinge of boy odor isnt all that bad, but if you reek ..forget it.

My customers love it when I have sweat on my back from my long hair covering it, they sniff it, lick it if they get a chance before I move away, they absolutely love the smell. Men also love to eat assholes too, so its no big deal.

    LOL Katrine!

Sweat isn't bad, the bacteria chomping down on it and expelling noxious gases after awhile is. My ex LOVED it when I'd work up a sweat over anything. Come home after a dance class [normal dancing] and he'd all but rip away the leotard.
Anyway, maybe every hour is excessive, but I've been known during particularly busy nights, or after being with a particularly odorous customer to jump into the shower - a customer may like my sweat or BO, not necessarily another customer's! Heehee, it only takes 5 minutes at the most and is worth it.

Lateniter, all NY clubs are smokefree and I wasn't dancing before the ban was in place, but all the other dancers have told me money went seriously downhill. I'm not allergic or anything, but it does bother me. I'd rather work in an MD club with a good air filtering system than smokefree.

I've never encountered any girls at the club thet smelled anything but heavenly. Any that really let it go till they work up a serious stank probably dont need to be dancers anyway.Maybe they could work at WalMart or sumpthin,I dunno... Nobody likes to smell something dead...For my own part,I work construction outdoors, and if I stop after work,I've got enough courtesy not to subject the girls to it. I mean if some dude stinks, dosen't he get a little embarased if a beautiful girl gets near him? That just ain't right.

Yeah, a little sweat isn't too bad. But I think I speak for a lot of dancers when I say that we're constantly reapplying deoderant, wiping down with baby wipes, and spritzing with the body spray to make sure we don't smell like it.

Smoke free strip clubs? What's this world coming to? I can remember the thrill of opening the strip club door and being overwhelmed by the noise and odor. And it was always a very distinctive odor, a combination of sweat, smoke, perfume and sex. Now going into some clubs is like entering a restaurant. No atmosphere whatsoever. The yuppies have taken over. What a sad day.

Smoke causes premature aging and respiratory problems. Think of the poor staff who work in these places day in day out. Smokefree means i wont have a face like an old boot in ten years time or lung cancer.

Where i live they're bringing in legislation to make clubs and pubs smokefree by 2008 and when it's all done like this in a swift blitz it doesnt have a negative impact on profits at all.

I guess some club owners dont want to be held liable for the damage they cause to their employees.

Surely there can still be atmosphere without smoke.

I have a regular customer who smells soooo bad like BO. It is not enjoyable at all. It is very overpowering. My husband said I should say something to him, but how do you not hurt his feelings? He is always neatly dressed and groomed so I know he isn't coming from a hard physical job. The only sweat/BO I want to put up with would be from my own husband.

As some of my crusty punker friends used to say - it's only bad when it gets to the point that you can smell yourself!
I've only ever heard of 1 complaint about a smelly dancer, but it was not someone I knew, lol.

I'd much rather a little b.o. than smoke. When I dance I would hope it would be in a smoke free enviornment.

B.O. is nasty. I always try to freshen up, especially after doing several dances and I'm a bit sweated up.

I'm glad that all you ladies try hard to smell nice for us - that's been my experience too. But what about those customers who work all day in hot factories or in construction, and their only opportunity to stop by to see you is on their way home from work? There's not much they can do to smell good. So which would you rather they do, stop in dirty and smelly or not stop at all? Would you rather dance for a smelly guy or sit and twiddle your thumbs?

I remember dancing for a guy that had such a bad BO, It was disgusting. Every single person in that club smelled it. It smelled of feces, sweat, dirt, etc. I took a couple of shots of vodka, and danced for him. At the end of the night, He paid me $2,000 bucks.

Smelly guys are the way to go.
