Default Buying a gift for a dancer?

    Need some imput here please..

With the holidays right around the corner, I was thinking of buying a velvet housecoat for one of my favorites. She has mentioned several times how much she loves velvet on her skin, and how she wishes she had a full length velvet house coat to wear in the club because she always gets the chills.

No precedent here, I have never bought a gift for here or any other dancer, but I was thinking it would be kind of cool to surprise her. Of course, I am not trying to woo her, or expect anything in return, I just want to do it to be nice. I dont have any other woman in my life right now to buy for.

Would this embarass her too much? Would she feel obligated for something if I did so? I dont expect anything, and I wouldnt want her to think I did. She treats me well when I am at the club, I just wanted to show some appreciation other than shoving twenties in her G string.

What I figured I would do, is swing by the club when she is working, and give it to her, tell her happy holidays, and then leave so she doesnt feel awkward.

Sometimes I come up with hairbrained ideas..is this one of them?

I think she'll be touched by such a sweet gesture. She's lucky to have a client as thoughtful and kind as you, and I hope she appreciates it as much as she ought to.

The few times that a customer has bought me gifts I have been genuinely appreciative, and unless you specifically imply that you expect some quid pro quo (I mean in the nooky sense, not that you would expect a housecoat in return) there is no reason for her to think you expect it.

    Just my 2 cents..

It sounds like you want to get her a warm fuzzy "buddy"gift. One that doesnt suggest anything or seem to come with strings.
I would give her something that says you and stay away from ANYTHING that could even remotely be considered sexual.(like a warm robe on her nakid skin)

I run into this problem when deciding what to get the dancers for xmas myself.I collect antique coca cola stuff and lunchboxes so the girls all know whatever they get is usually gonna be something with coca cola on it or a lunchbox!

yes i want to sleep with them all, singularily and pluraly, but you wouldnt know it from my Xmas gift.
I would go with a stone cold plutonic gift that resembles something you care about.

Best of luck, hope she likes whatever ya decide on.

I wish I would have known this, I just gave away an old Coca Cola floor fridge in perfect working condition, not a repro either. If you like I will keep my eye out for you for more stuff.

Back to the topic, I have given gifts in the past to dancers but if you want to keep it on an even less personal level, consider a gift certificate to her favorite store.

I see nothing wrong with giving her a velvet housecoat. It doesn't seem overly sexual. I'm sure she'll really like it.

Especially if she has mentioned wanting one, that would be a spectacular gift. I would love it if a customer gave me one, and it had never occurred to me until just now to want one.

If she's mentioned she wants it, go for it. I think it's very sweet.

    Lateniter,
As a recently retired dancer, I don't think that the robe was sexual in any way. Sounds like a good choice to me...

I like this one better. Miss Shelby I think she would be too chilly in the example you posted because it lacks sleeves. ;-)

Actually, that is the one I had my eye on. small world..

what about sizes? How do they size these things?

I am thinking a medium? She is average height and kind of busty.

**thanks for all the response, I appreciate the help!

I dunno...I'd say small as these kinds of clothes tend to run large.
Unless she's really busty, like a DD cup or above, or a curvy/voluptuous type (with larger than average hips/butt) then go for the medium (or large even, depending)

All of you dancers seem real cool with the idea of a guy getting a gift for his favorite dancer, and I think that's great. I was expecting the "this would freak me out" type of response. I did this once before myself, and she really appreciated it. I didn't have any alterior motives in buying her a gift...I am way beyond that.
