    Diet Plan?

    Hey everyone,

Well, christmas season is here and my diet has taken a tole for the worst. I've never had a diet plan before. I usually eat a lot of soy, yogurt, diet bread, pita bread and fruit as my diet but it's been crazy recently and I'm scard I'm gonna gain weight. I need something a little more structured to try out. I go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week and dance 1-2 times a week so I am realitely active. What I was wondering is what your personal diets are and what works the best for you. I need something simple. Nothing with powers, shakes or additives. Remember I am totally new to structured dieting. If anyone could help me out it would be most appreciated! Thanks a tone ladies!

I've heard, that dieting around the holidays isn't a good idea. It's just too difficult. This is really not my area of expertise, I'm lucky in that I really don't hafta diet. But, I've seen in magazines, different "body types" & how they respond to exercises, food, etc. What type of foods do you like, what is your schedule, etc? Maybe try going to library/bookstore, looking in women's magazines, books, etc., for ideas. If I think of any other ideas, I'll let you know.

I personally don't see what you are getting so freaked about. So you gain a few kilos during Christmas... we all do! Besides, you are more active than I'll ever be LOL! Your metabolism must be running well.... so you have no fears.

If you aren't used to a structured eating plan... then don't do it. I won't work. Find something that will.

Personally, between my Goji Juice and V8 vegie drink... I'm doing alright. I'm 48 kgs and am 152 (approx) .... my body fat is probably not the best yet I'm not "fat" by a long shot...

I found something that works for me. It isn't structured at all. I'm healthy and well.

(edit to add) I don't eat crap. I don't have cravings for sugary, sweet or "junk" food so much anymore. This includes caffine (sp?). I just strive to eat healthy enough.

I just say screw it around the holidays and eat better afterwards. I do the same for my birthday. I once gained 7 pounds at Xmas in a week and then lost half of it the next week and the rest in the two weeks following. I guess that's not good but sometimes it takes me pigging out to get it out of my system and realize how much better I feel when I eat healty.

You could try and cut the sweet stuff. It's only food! If you put on 7lbs then have to loss it, wouldn't it be better to just put on 2bls and then still lose the 7bls. Then you will be 5bls lighter then when you started!

I find just having the day off it best. Not the whole week!!!

for me it's almost not even worth trying to diet during the holidays.. I don't have that much will power. So I just have a taste... like half a serving then wait till after the holidays to sweat it all off at the gym.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

Hahaha, I just re-read your post GoldCoast girl. I thought you said attractive not active. LOL.

Guess i should stop reading these forums when half asleep.

By the way, I think the 3lbs was weight from my rag. Because I've actually lost 3 more lbs on top of the 3lbs I thought that i gained. I dunno how I did it, but when I posted this i weighted 136lbs and now I am 129lbs. Weird eh.
