    Thumbs up Dancing Solider

Hey ladies, first let me say that the info. on this site is sooo very helpful.

I have contemplated dancing for so many years but everytime I pretty much chicken out. But this time i'm going through with it. I'm a full-time college student and I really need the money for school. I know I have the body for it but I need help creating a new persona for myself.

See, I'm in the military(army reserves) and I heard that the club i will be working in has a bunch of miltary men coming their all the time. That is a good thing because they have money to waste but its bad becuase I may be commanding some of them one day. LOL.

Any ideas on a persona that I can create? and a name I could use. I am the worst liar on EARTH but its critical that I stay incognito. : )

Here's a little more about me
    Height: 5'1
Size: Petite (sz 3/4) muscular (from working out so much)
    Race: African American

Very creative and intelligente. I have a lot of experience doing a lot of different things so although I will have great conversation I don't want to say too much.

    Thanks for your help.

    Lightbulb Re: Dancing Solider

Hello! I used to be in the Army (National Guard) and alot of the guys at my unit knew that i was also a dancer. It never affected me. They all knew that I was a college student making money. They didn't treat me any differently after they learned I was a dancer either. For me, it was a job that made more than 5.50/hour (which is the average pay around here).

"I am the worst liar on EARTH but its critical that I stay incognito. : )"

I can also relate to this. I'm a horrible liar, So I tend to tell a bit that is the truth and a bit that's embellished or just not current. Plus, I try to keep a somewhat low profile when I see people I know at work. I'm from a small town and stories turn into rumors which turn into big fat lies. If you know what I mean. I tend to avoid people I know from school or my hometown. This works for me.

I was a private at Ft Sill when i started dancing. It can be an issue with the military.
If your an officer, even more so.

I would tell you NOT to do it for many reasons.
Where some on this forum might tell you"more power to ya,fuck the military if they dont want you to dance",i would tell you to check before you do it.
    CYA!!!!
Your CO will tell you no.If your an officer,UCMJ and JAG will tell you no,and when you give an order to someone that saw you dance the night before, they might tell you no also.

    Right now your government property.
My advice, wait till your tour is over, you dont need the headaches.

Well, I'm in the Reserves, not active duty. I only do one weekend a month 2 weeks a year. I am an officer in training (ROTC) at my college. The club is an hour away from the town where I go to school and in a whole nother state. 2 hours away from my unit and 4 hours away from my home town. When i graduate an acutally become an officer I plan on moving to the west coast. So basically I think I'm safe.

I'm sure I will run into someone but I'm prepared to take it on when it comes up for the greater cause.

Becareful anyway, the miliatry can be sticky about these things. It can come up as "conduct unbecoming" or something.

A girl I knew was charged for dancing. Of course she was drunk and stripped out of her uniform on amateur night, but I was told then that they can be pretty harsh from time to time.

    YMMV

I appreciate you all advice. I'm still going to do it and being "extra careful" is my #1 priority that was the case anyways.
