I usually get my money afterwards. That way, I can keep asking if they would like me to keep dancing. To me, asking for the money upfront is like automatically stopping after one song. Thankfully, I have not yet been cheated or have had anyone need to make a trip to the ATM. Hmmm, if they did need to make a trip, I suppose I could hold their wallet or follow them to the machine like a little bumble bee.

exotica, my club holds all lapdance money and it is SUCH a pain to have to stop between dances to pay upfront. I definitely know I've lost the momentum a couple of time. While working in Baltimore I was never stiffed, but I also followed them, even if I was being called to stage and I made sure I got all my money before letting the customer out of my sight. *shrug* Especially "oh.. I only have half the money, lemme get it from my buddy. . . " type of guys.

I was fortunate at my last club that the customers had to buy tokens for lap dances and we had to trade them in for the cash at the end of the night, sort of a way they monitored the dances when we had to buy the 5 bucks per dance fee but it also meant we always got paid for our dances.

I typically have the first dance paid for up front... that way I can see how much cash he has on him. Then I kinda go from there... I had a guy last night that said he had to go to the ATM machine first (this is a reason Im paid up front) and Im standing there for DAYS... he comes back and says the ATM machine isnt reading his Card.. I say well, we have another machine and he says no, its not working... Im thinking is he dumb or what? Like I didnt get it that hes B-R-O-K-E. What a waste of 10 precious minutes talking and waiting... MEN!

I haven't been ripped off on a long time for a few reasons:
    1. I establish the price per dance before the dances begin. I do not ask for cash up front, but I make sure the customer is comfortable with the cost of the dance.

    2. I compliment the customer for being so nice, a great guy etc. I have made him feel good about himself and have given him an expectation to live up to. Most people don't want to destroy a positive reputation with anyone, even if they have little or no respect for that person. If you work his ego, he will make sure you get your money, even if he had planned on ripping you off. Or he will find another target, and tell you that he has decided against the dance today.

    3. I don't get drunk while working. I have bought dances from drunk dancers who have forgotten to collect for the dances. I would later have to track them down so that I could pay them. Being drunk is bad for a person's income all the way around.

But I feel that #2 is my main reason for not getting ripped off anymore. If the guy was already willing to pay for the dance, then he is more likely to tip generously and not complain about how much the dances cost etc.

it depends on what they're buying. my club has $10 tabledances. i tell them they're $10 per song up front and get paid afterwards. when they dont want anymore dances i stand right there and dont move until they pay. i say something like, ' you sure you don't want anymore, baby? no? ok, we'll that's $___.' i thank them when they pay me. if they try and use an excuse to not pay, such as 'i need to get my friend' i go with them. or 'i need to use the atm' i show them where it is. it's hard to get aynthing by me.

for vips, i ask up front and tell them it's club policy and that i'm required to.

I always get my moey upfront i tell them its club policy if they ask why, one time in all the yrs ive danced i didnt get it up front and when we went to run his credit card it got declined for the 300 he owed me and i was pissing myself thankful i had danced for his friend first and he actually paid me for the guy's dances and bought more for himself but it could have been very ugly situation and it wont ever happen again, i have noticed when I go to my sister club which is topless some men get offended if u want paid first but I would rather offend them work for free.

If I have a bad feeling, as soon as I begin, before any clothes are off, I lean over and whisper in his ear asking him if he has been to the club and is he aware of how the dance process operates? Usually the response is "yeah, yeah, I know, $20 a dance". But it is effective.

A few months ago I did 2 dances for a guy and he only gave me $10, he thought that $5 Tuesdays were every night and started a fight w me saying that he wasn't deaf and the DJ had announced it. Well, I stuck with him and his friends until his friend's girlfriend paid me as soon as I said, "its ok, I'm just going to get my manager."

NEVER lose sight of them until you are paid. I've only had a couple of bad experiences in almost 7 years, and they were for small amounts at least. If they are paying with credit they need to run the card before the dances begin, the waitress can do it. Its better to wait 5 minutes for that to happen than waste an hour dancing for free.......
