I would always skip a dancer who was in VIP, to allow her to make more money, even if this was forbidden by management (though in that case it would be an exceptionally cool dancer, who was invariably a good tipper as well). This can make the DJ's job very difficult if, as I do, he plans the music carefully to ensure the best performance possible from each dancer by playing music both she and the customers will enjoy, or if he plans the line-up to balance the 'rock' girls with the 'techno' and 'rap' girls. I do it anyways.
Djoser you are so awsome. One day Im going to travel to whatever club you are at just so I can have you as my dj for a few nights

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

If i took a tip to skip an entertainer,or drop her in the rotation,I would have 30 other entertainers ready to kill me,or me wanting to kill myself because they were all bitching.
    They follow the rotation.DUH!!!
They know when you skip someone, because the next girl has to pick up the slack.

I could never be bought by an entertainer over the others or over the show,I dont care how great she was or thought she was.Its not fair to the Show or all the other girls who are working.

No entertainer is more important then another, the show is the most important thing, not a prima donna who doesnt want to give up a spending customer.
My all time best tipper was named Dreamer Jolina, and she was a hard core prima donna. She tipped everyone alot of money to bend the rules for her.I fired many of them myself when i cought them.
She was the bomb, she tipped me 100 bucks min every night, but she did her job as she was supposed to do,no shortcuts from the dj booth. She went up when she was supposed to and danced to the music on format. She didnt like it,but she had no choice.

    Know your role.
Do your job and have respect for the show.

    BTW
A DJ who can be bribed is a piece of shit who will sell you out to the next highest bidder.

    DUH!!!!!!

Well we are all supposta go onstage evey night, but there are a few allowances that you don't have to. Like when I went back to work after my hospital stay, I didn't have to go onstage. Or say if you mess up your knee/ankle/leg etc... you don't have to either.

I have missed tons of stage calls before if I was doing dances or whatever. They are pretty cool about it since the club gets money if your in the back, and they don't if your onstage.

We haven't really had a big of a problem about it so it's really not an issue. They really don't mind it if your doing dances, but if you miss cause your in the dressing room on the phone; then that's a problem. Or if your back in the back passed out then that's a problem too.

Like many others here, there isn't a clear cut line of yes or no in this situation. If we are upstairs in VIP, you tell the DJ before you go up so he doesn't put you on stage. I know of at least one girl who tips the DJ a flat rate, double what we are supposed to tip, every night she works and always gets asked if she wants to before the dj puts her up. Some dj's follow a rotation, others start with one and then just randomly put girls up who aren't busy up or right when you come back from a VIP before you get another customer. On busy nights we also do two stage rotations, where we do two songs on stage in the back of the club, and then 2 on the mainstage. If you are recieving a lot of tips you can end up staying on the main stage for up to four songs - dj's discretion.

I used to HATE going on stage, but now I get mad if I only get up once a night or very few times. Some how with our stage shows, even if the guy is sitting with a girl he'll get away to tip you and some times be like "Please come save me from her when you get down!" Stages lately have been good, I usually get quite a few dances following them, and given the day or time I can make a lot of tips up there.

Stage is a must at my club. Rotation is followed except for one dj who does skip around to keep the "crowd destroyers" (as djoser put it) off of stage on a busy friday. If you want off stage for the night, a customer has to buy you off for $200.

At many of the clubs I have worked at they have had "mixers." Basically these girls sell dances, drinks, hot tubs, etc, etc...but they never get on stage and dance. Their tipout/housefees are the same as everyone elses.

The only time we get to skip stage is if we are in the CR. Other than that, you're fair game. If you're on the floor, you are expected to do one of the 3 stages.

I usually don't like to start working unless I go on stage, then I can see who's interested.

But my club does a rotation, and you have to go up unless your customer tips the DJ good enough for him to skip you.

If you are in a private dance, at the club I will work in every so often in Melbourne, you won't be put on stage. It is rostered however if your name comes up and you are in a dance... then they just put the next girl who isn't busy up on stage. You can opt to pay a fee so that you aren't put on stage at all.

Personally, I just leave it as it is since I'm not called up on stage often enough to it be a hassle at this new club... and whenever I do.. it is a good thing as I might receive tips .. and it gets me visible/moving again if I'm going thru a slow patch.
