Default working in a bad mood??

So i know this may have been answered before, and i can think of the obvious answers (like just think of the money you'll make), but how do you guys handle work if you don't want to be there that night? Like, if you had a bad day, or have a lot of things on your mind? Usually if i have a drink it loosens me up, but i can't drink anymore and need the money so i'll have to work. im just wondering if anyone has any tips to still make money when you're not really feeling up to the whole thing? any help is appreciated, thanks!!

Buying a drink is always a bad idea in my opinion. There are way too many reasons why to get into here. One thing I'd suggest is to either:

    A. Just not go in that night. Your bad mood will absolutely reflect itself on to your customers. So what's worse? Going in on a bad night, being in a bad mood, and working hard only not to generate much income because of your mood or just skipping the night and come back the next day refreshed and more in the proper frame of mind to be effective? Or;

    B. Do something more effective than alcohol to help you out. Anyone that knows me will tell you that when someone asks how I am, I give them one of three responses... "Awesome", "Fantastic" or "Wonderful". It's just how I am. Now, when there are days where I truly am not awesome, fantastic, or wonderful, I will say, "Getting better all the time." It's a good reminder to myself that yes, I may have had a challenging day, and by programming myself into saying, "Oh, my day's has been lousy" or something similar, it's only going to get worse. Why? Because my day has been "lousy"! Just start projecting that your day is "getting better all the time" and pretty soon, your day really will be better. Remember, everything begins in thought and you can never get what you don't ask for or project into the world. Just food for thought

Good advice Dancer Wealth! I've always had this problem, and it does effect your money going into work in a bad mood. An additude adjustment definatly helps.

I turn off my real life and I become "Sam" not my real self. Sam doesnt have any problems she is just a good time girl that floats by on life. My real moods stay at home.

There's no way I can work in a bad mood. I get vicious. Luckily it doesn't happen very often, just once a month... ha ha.

If you can afford it - I do something for myself that applies to work before I go in. For example - pedicure, haircut, new shoes, jewlrey, costume, even a new thong or body spray.

It's exciting to get to use new stuff at work, and the shopping takes your mind off of the bad mood.

Even if you're on a budget, just take a $10 or $20 bill with you to Target or WalMart and find something for work - a new sticker for your locker, a notepad to write down your earnings, some costume jewlrey, etc.

I try to do a light workout, go tanning, paint my nails a different color, etc...

If no time for that, I like to do yoga in the backyard for a little while....

Very good advice, DW! I will try that one tonight. Usually, I just hang around with a cloud above my head, whining until something brings me out of it....

"Getting better all the time." I like that, Dancerwealth. I gotta try it on my yucky days. I totally believe in positive thinking.

    Great advice!
listen we all have mood swings. You are right on girl. The whole club thing is a fanasy. Leave the baggage at the front door. We all have control over how we feel if we work at it. Act it you will feel it!!!

Affirmations work wonders. Words do have power. That's my tip. Managed to have a decent night in the end even tho' I felt burnt-out and crabby at the beginning last night.

Here are two of my favourites:
"Abundance embraces me and I embrace abundance"

(..before I go on stage) "I will make $x in tips... I have made $x in tips!" I continue with the "I have made $x in tips" so that when I go out on stage I have the attitude/vibe that I already have the money (usually works in that I can usually harness something in tips each time I'm on stage instead of nothing).

    Therefore.. that's my contribution.
