    Default outfits question

would you say your wardrobe consists of more costume type items or lingerie or 2 piece type outfits? what is the majority of your type of outfits that you wear? Im not quite sure how to build my basic wardrobe of what I'll need.

Build a wardrobe on what you like. What fits your personality. Like do you like lace or bright colors etc? Also, your club may require certain dancer attire such as gowns or thigh highs or even a certain heel requirment. So do a lil researching in that deparment.
Overall make sure you are comfortable in your clothes. Dont buy anything that isnt "you".
I personally had alot of 2 piece outfits maybe one dress. Dresess just wernt flattering on me they were all made for busty girls which Im not. Im real picky about outfits so I tried on alot of stuff. Hope that helps?

I've got dresses and two pieces, I normally like wearing skimpy stuff when I go out anyway, so I like wearing little bra tops and short skirts, or I'll wear a minidress or something - always something that shows off my legs, with some platform heels (I know the glass heels are really passe but I really like them ). I tend not to wear costumes as I don't think they work at the club I dance at, they're more into the "sexy chick you'd pick up at a bar or club look".

Go with whatever you feel good in. When I first started I bought a couple of things because I thought they were what the customers wanted to see, but I didn't really like them. I made no money wearing them, because I wasnt' confident and didn't feel like I looked good. Now I dance in everything from lingerie to a long red dress to a cute black satin "bad cop" outfit. I don't do the skimpy two-pieces because I don't think they flatter my body. So, go with what makes you feel good because that's what you'll project.

I've got some of everything. If you're new you should build your initial wardrobe based on what is allowed at your club. If they have costume requirements, follow them strictly. If anything goes, just go with what you feel sexy in. In time you can learn to get creative and push the envelope a bit. Pick up ideas from other girls, visit different clubs and see what they're wearing. One good tip is to look for things that you can mix and match, so you buy fewer items to put together more outfits. Then get a couple of well-chosen accessories and you're good to go. I like a narrow vinyl small-studded collar for my fetishy stuff and a rhinestone choker for the dressier stuff.

When out shopping, if you see something sexy and inexpensive, pick it up. I've got loads of odd pieces that I mix up to make different outfits. Like a couple garter skirts from VS that I found in the sale bin that I put with a bustier or bra and sometimes fishnet thigh highs. Or a pair of red vinyl shorts that I wear with a short black top or a fishnet top, or the matching corset that goes with it. One of the best investments I ever made was a pair of fishnet thigh highs with vinyl/pvc tops instead of the regular elastic tops - they actually stay up and look better on me, don't cut into my thighs and I can wear them with a long velvet gown or several mixmatch outfits. I've had those things for well over 5 years!

Take care of the basics first, like shoes, thongs, and garters, because those are the most important things. Then go with what looks good. My stuff ranges from bikinis to gowns, but I think it's good to have one of everything (long dress, short dress, skirt outfit, shorts outfit, bikini) depending on your mood that night.

I started with the basics too- thongs, a pair of dancer shoes, a garter, and a couple gowns for a gown club.
Those fishnets with the vinyl tops sound great Bridgette. I tried wearing thigh-highs to work and was always pulling them up and having them attached to a garter belt seems like it would slow me down dressing after the dance. Where do you order them?

I don't know where to get them, I bought them at some cheesy porno shop in a small town I can't even remember over 5 years ago. Same pair all those years. Of course I don't wear them all the time but they've lasted longer than any other piece of stripper gear I've owned. The weirdest things always last the longest. They're like superhose LOL

I just checked ebay and they have vinyl fishnets ($8- $12.50)- it sounds cool and I'd love to have stockings that stay up. Thanks Bridgette for the idea.

One thing about those: Your legs will sweat a bit under the vinyl sections. It doesn't cause much of a prblem for me and they will start to slide a little but I just pull them up, taking care to pull them away from my skin for a sec to let the sweat dry. It only takes a couple seconds and they've never fallen more than an inch or two because the vinyl wants to stick to the skin.
