I need to rant for a second. Last night, I went to my fave club in Philly. I was supposed to meet some friends there, but there was a huge miscommunication, and I wound up there alone all night. As I walked in, I asked the bouncer if he could walk me back to my car at the end of the night (I told him I parked down the DARK ASS BACK ALLEY). He gave me a bunch of shit like "Why? Do you think something's going to happen to you? This is a pretty safe place, you probably won't need it." Ummm...it's south Philly at 3 a.m. Not so safe. As the night progressed, my fave dancer sat and chatted with me. I told her I had come alone, and she asked if I felt ok going to my car alone, and I told her I asked the bouncer and he basically told me no. She was furious (I think he got an ass-chewing after I left, she was not happy about that). Now, I'm a strong girl, but that doesn't matter when someone has a weapon or a few of their cronies with them. At the end of the night, I asked a different boucer if he could walk me to my car, ad got the same warm response, "Why? You got beef with somebody?" He wound up getting the same guy who told me no earlier to walk me back to my car. Why don't they, on occasion, TAKE CARE of the customers, instead of just throw them out?![]()
