I coulda sworn I had commented on this. Maybe not... Egads.
Ok this is a blurry pic but it shows all of my current back ink.
Here is a close up of the cross on my lower back, which needs to be touched up. Urgh...
And this is the wolf heads/tribal piece on my upper back that needs a LOT of work. Double urgh....
The kanji on my shoulder means Tiger.
I also have a small yellow rose for my mother over my heart. Plotting to add to that one. It's dull.
Must... get... more.... ink!

Thse are my two kanji's. They mean "strength" and "loyalty". I just got the sea turtle a week ago. Going to build on that one. Plan on getting a lightning bolt right on my tail bone (just above my crack like Lesley Zen), some kitty paw prints leading down to my kitty, and maybe a side piece.

Venom, you're looking hot & I love that tattoo. I know people say that everyone gets them but I think tribal tattoos are the best. Any chance we could get more pics of you? Your body looks in great shape, you could post them in that Sexy Men thread*hint hint*.
I've got a question for anybody that might know. I got my ears pierced when I was 8 and developed keloids (extra scar tissue that grows past the boundaries of the original wound for those of you that didn't know) that had to be surgically removed when I was 9. The doctor at that time said that it was mainly because of puberty and that I'd grow out of it. I was wondering if I could get a tattoo because I really love them and would like to have one of my own. I mean, is a tattoo really considered major skin trauma? I've got cuts on my thighs that were self inflicted from about 2 months ago that healed & just look like regular scars. Would a dermatologist be able to tell me if I still have to worry about it?
Then of course if I can get one then I'd have to design it.

I dont imagine it would be a problem, but you really should consult a dermatologist first. A tatoo probably is quite the shock on the body, your burning the skin with ink, its hot, it bleeds alot, and it hurts. Anyone who says otherwise really is bs'in, cause it does hurt a bit. Mine took about 2 hours and wasnt all that fun.
Yea many people have tribal..... but mines an original piece, and I think it looks pretty good. My next piece is a large one on my back.
Thx for the vote of confidence for the sexy men thread lol. Ive got a few more pics yea, i just dont know if im going to put them up. Have paitence untill im a bit bigger. ittl be worth it.![]()

Just sharing but mine comes with a story (don’t they all), about two years ago my then 17yo daughter decides she want a tat on her 18th birthday and wants me to take her to get it so I make her a promise that not only will I take her I will get one too, my first and only. So the pact is made and on Nov 15th 2003 we both get our tat’s her a tribal on her back of her own design and me of the dreamcatcher I picked out from the Tatoo artist private collection. The original tat was just the dreamcatcher but in April of last year I lost my daughter to a car accident and went to the same artist that did us both and had him add the Dream Forever. He remembered us (guess not too many dads and daughters come in together) and would not charge me for the additional work, I was overwhelmed and his tip was considerably more than the work would have been.
To answer the original poster the first setting on mine was about two hours, lots of detail work on this one and the second setting was about an hour. Because it was on just the outer arm there some pain but not much. My daughters tribal took about three hours with breaks and was extremely painful.
