    Cone Heels ?

I have trouble balancing in stilettos(especially whenn I've had a few glasses of wine), but I LOVE the look of heels. Does anyone here wear the cone shaped heels ? I'm thinking of ordering some, but I've never ordered shoes online before....never bought shoes without trying them on first....

The cone heels are good until the plastic attached heel breaks off when you're about to dive down the stairs

If you can find some with a heel/shoe all one piece instead of a shoe with a plastic cone heel attached, that would be perfect!

Perhaps try the stilettos with a slightly wider heel and platform. Not the chunky fat ones, there are some that have the stiletto look yet are just a bit wider. Much more stable but still the sexy pointy shape.

Well, yes (in a way). What I've done is go into a dancerwear shops and tried on shoes. As the good dancer shoes sold here are from the US, I try on several shoes in the US size that I am wanting to buy them in. If the different styles of shoe give a good fit for the same size, then if I order online, it's more likely that the size I order online will fit me. I've only done this once though, but I'm going to buy another pair online soon.

    Hope this helps some.

Try Snaz75.com they have a HUUUUGGGEE list of shoes!! Cheaper too. I always wore pleasure's shoes. I had a pair of cone heels once didnt break though. I didnt like the way they made my legs look so I switched to stiletto. But, try brig's suggestion for a bigger heel still comfy and sturdy.

Yeah i'm not a fan of plastic heels. I posted this once before, but i'll retell the story. I was struting, yes struting around the club and the heel broke sending me flying foward where i smacked my chin on a table and i was knocked out for a while and eventually went to the hospital. I'm not saying that will happen but i've seen a couple girls break their plastic heels. I use the type like brigette said they aren't chunky but the heel is a little wider.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

I like my Ellie cones. The entire heel does appear to be screwed into the shoe, but I don't know if that's just a design illusion because they are really sturdy, and the heel is suspended in solid plastic. I imagine many types of shoes are made this way, but aren't transparent.

My feet have never hurt when I wear the cones and I can manipulate the pole well in them. But all the ladies here don't seem to like them so I am in the minority I guess

I personally found it harder to dance in cone heels, and don't like the way they look compared to stilletos. I bought a pair of clear platform stilletos the other day, but unlike the shoes I had before that had a smaller, round heel(NYC for example), the bottom of the heel is more square, but still slim , which makes a huge difference in stability, and they still look sexy. So my advice is, go for a slimmer heel with a square'ish bottom(my shoes are Crystal Fashion Footwear).
