OMG .....I literally was soo sad. That poor little girl. She seems so happy in the video. I hope no one picks on her in school. Kids can be cruel...Oh my gosh. I just cant believe that? Ive seen that type of syndrome before but Ive never seen it like that. I pray for her and her family so that they can get through this.

^ yeah... I couldn't imagine what she'll have to go through.. I remember getting ridiculed in 9th grade because I was one of the smallest kids in school - 80 lbs, 5' at 14. And I thought that was bad.At least I grew... I'm not sure what the doctors can do for her... 14 surgeries already???
Wow, That's so sad. My heart goes out to her.

That's fucking awful. Why would you even post this? I can't watch it![]()

This story made me cry and then laugh because knowing after all that she's been through, she can still show love towards others and teach people that you just don't pass judgement just because something about them is different.I truly hope this beautiful baby girl will be able to have the quality of life one day she so deserves, just like everyone else.

Of course she still loves, she's merely a toddler, and was fortunate enough to be born into a loving family. Wait until she goes to school.Originally Posted by onlythebest
I doubt anyone will learn anything long-term from watching this, not an adult anyway....its more exploitive media, trying to appeal to emotion to get ratings....

I guess that I look at this story as...Look at how much that little girl has. She is so full of love, to want to hug someone you just met. We could all learn a thing or two from that little one, not to judge but to merely love one another.
I've heard that a good signiture sets you apart from everyone.
Well......is this good enough???
Thats just terrible. It literally made me tear up. Poor little baby.

Poor little girl. How very sad..![]()
I hope they fix her up good because she is going to have to deal with soo much!
I'm in tears! Stop bitching about your life, your bf/gf, money, what you don't have. Your problems are nothing compared to hers, and yet she still beams love and acceptance. I am humbled. She has the face of god.

Scorpio, you said it best.
Thanks for posting it, A_G; hard to watch or contemplate but perhaps particularly appropriate for a site and a community so concerned with physical appearance, neh?

Poor pooka. I kind of felt like hitting some of the news people, though, I hate when they ask heart-wrenching questions of people who've already been through a lot.
My heart really really goes out to her when she'll be comprehending spoken language. Yipe. I hope they homeschool or have tutors or something, I don't care how much of a progressive school you can find.

That's incredibly sad. But I am so glad that she was born into such a loving family. Most people probably would have put her in a home for the rest of her life, but there she is, in her own home, with her family. So, although it's sad that she was born with this, I'm confident that she'll live a very happy life.

The true tragedy of all this (other than the massive number of surgeries, of course...poor kid) is that you have to even try to find a way to "get" people to be.... DECENT.
For all of us who are affected by this - in case you missed it - they need help.

my wife watched it with me...and yes it is sad. and while i am inclined to agree a bit about the "exploitive media" aspect of it, the wifey has a good point. Naval doctors are performing these surgeries, and i'm sure there are much better surgeons in the private sector. and, perhaps, after seeing this, they might decide to do some work pro bono for the family. and there's nothing exploitive about that part of it. still...i'd rather get teary and "awwww" watching the news about a sweet little girl with a deformity, then watch more people blown up, murdered, etc on a daily basis.
i'm going to go hug my girls now.![]()
