    Default Learning How To Count

Ladies, if you have a customer who buys lots of dances from you or sets up an evening where they come to the club specifically for you, how do you keep track of how many dances you do for them?

I went to see my ATF the other day for a special occasion. We spent about three hours together, and we completely lost track of how many dances she did. I'd paid $300 up front for our time, so we switched to an hourly "rate".

We have yet to have a foolproof way of keeping track of how many dances are done and whatnot, so I was wondering what you guys do to keep track.

Are you concerned you might not be getting precisely $300 worth of dances? If you spent the time with her in a vip, you'd have to pay an hourly rate regardless of whether you got 2 dances or 40. You're paying for her time. It seems to me you're getting vip treatment for your $300, so I think you should stop worrying about counting dances and just enjoy the time. Agree on an hourly rate and have fun.

I just keep track in my head it's pretty easy- even if i'm talking i can still count - i listen for the dj's voice in between songs and also hear that it's a new song so i keep track- then again- if i'm with a regular and we're talking and doing alot of songs then yeah i may lose track but they are never concerned anyway so it works out i guess :/

if you want, tell her you want to settle up every five dances, or put your 20s in a pile next to you and give on to her every time you want another dance

$100/hr is a decent deal for VIP time, so I wouldn't sweat it

Wow- I guess alot of clubs really are different- where I work, 100 dollars would buy you four dances in vip and if you want an hour it'd be $400...it's just crazy how everything is so different....lol i'm just thinking too deeply I guess, just got home from work actually.

I'm not so much concerned with getting exactly x amount of dances for x amount of money, but if she does more than I pay for, I want to make sure she gets the $$ she's due.

if you want, tell her you want to settle up every five dances, or put your 20s in a pile next to you and give on to her every time you want another dance
I think I'll try something like this next time I visit.

    TY for all the assistance.

Well we don't have time-based rates for our CR/VIP at the Texas clubs I work, so I usually just count how many dances would be done in a 30 minute increment. With 4 minute songs, and $20 a dance, it comes out to $160 for 32 minutes.

So I don't think you paid enough, personally, but since I tend to average $100 an hour on a slow night, it would be ok for a Mon or Tues. However it is not adequate for a busy night. I would throw in at least an extra $100 for that.....

It sounds like, on that particular night, she was happy with the arrangement you made though it does seem a bit low for that amount of time.

In general, I think dancers have a good idea in their head of how many dances you've done. My regulars know that I always do more than one dance so they will update me when it hits a certain # and see if I want to keep going.

With a new girl I NEVER lose track, once I trust someone I don't worry about it too much.

$300 for 3 hours? Damn...that's a helluva deal for you. Hope you tipped her well.

If what you're concerned about is making sure she's paid for each dance, you can do as others suggested and pay as you go - settle up every few songs.

But I'm thinking she doesn't want to do that, I'm thinking she likes having you as a regular paying a set amount each time. I'm thinking that's why she always loses count.

Most dancers can count songs VERY well.

So this was more or less a "outside the VIP" VIP session was it? This is precisely why I prefer to pay as I go instead of giving the lump sum up front. I get a fair deal for my money, the dancer gets fair compensation for her services. Nobody really needs to count anything (not past five anyways).

If you insist on paying the whole tab in one shot, I'd highly suggest prearranging the terms of sale before you begin. Needless to say, $300/3 hours is a super bargain, esspecially at what I hear many LA area clubs charge for dances.

Damn...I wish I could do the VIP thing for $100/hr. I'm used to paying three times as much... But hey, if she is happy with the amount...

As for counting dances, I always assume it is easier for the dancers to count than me...because they are generally sober, and I'm...well...not so much

In metro Providence on Mon-Thu afternoons and Mon-Tue nights, $300 for three hours makes sense. If a favorite says, "I just wanna be with you," I'll pay for a set of four dances, then hang out with her, then go back for another four, and so on. If I get an emergency call, the encounter is over, and the number of dances matches the payment.

Most dancers are pretty dependable counting one thru five if it's not techno music.

I keep track of how many girls have been onstage. There are two songs per girl, so ig there have been 5 girls, then we've done ten songs... and so on.

I'm mostly curious as to what club you go to. I'm, uh, very familiar with most clubs in the greater LA area, and pretty much all nude clubs charge (and often overcharge) the dancer on a per dance basis, so it's pretty unlikely she's gonna lose count and go into debt just for you.

Additionally, she'd make more just in tips for that 3 hours in the various VIP rooms around town ($120 for 3 songs in many; Deja Vu has a half hour bed dance for $100, and the standard tip is $40 on top of that).

That leaves the topless clubs...much lower mileage, lower per dance charges ($10-$15), few clubs with floaters who count dances, so the girls can pretty charge on an ad hoc basis for their time. I guess being the mileage hound that I am that it is difficult for me to even grasp the concept of paying a girl to just chat with me, but anyway...

What's the problem with just counting as you go? When I am dancing with an unfamiliar girl, I always preface my request for an additional lap thusly: "I'd love to do a second lap...a third lap..." and so on so there is absolutely no confusion on anyone's part. Honestly, how difficult is it to come up with a "foolproof" plan on counting to 30?

Doc makes a great point although he doesnt personally endorse the approach. If youre worried about losing track of dances, negotiate a dollar amount for a block of time if the dancer is flexible and agreeable to that method. Fishnet (our absent bud from the blue site) did that all the time with his fav and it worked out very well.

I havent done any marathon sessions in a while but I can remember being a little unsure about what I owed after an extended LD session. The booze didnt help but I suspect even sober parties might lose track. It can create an uncomfortable situation if the customer and dancer arent counting in sync.

I can't imagine dancing for three hours straight! Three hundred dollars is not that much, though...it'd be about $240 an hour at my club for lap dances, and while I'd discount some if a guy were buying that many, I would not discount THAT much!

I ALWAYS, without fail, will inform any CR patron where we stand every 5 dances. Then I offer him a chance to take an unpaid break if he would like to chat. This is my "discount" to them because they will always still want to keep going afterwards. So if we take a break every 6th song, I am still making approx 340 an hour, + tip which I sometimes request.....

Its really up to the dancer to count, but as a customer, I would keep track to just in case. I've seen to many con artists rip off drunkos.

It's a good thing for me that I don't drink.

We just didn't dance all that time. She had to go on stage, did a couple of wardrobe changes, and had to answer a few calls to the front from other faves who dropped things off for her. We also sat and talked here and there.

All in all, it was a great evening and I'm looking forward to the next time I go see her.

I swear, I need wire up Katrine and learn from her. 300 is what I made on average. If I sat with a customer for 3 hours and left with 300, I'd be more than pleased and go on to the next person.

*shakes head* must remember this when I make my return.

Hate to say it, but if a guy is super drunk, and nasty, I've been (and would be again) that con artist. If we've danced 10 songs, and you've tried to grope, lick, and pich trough ALL of them, I'll charge you for 14 or 15 songs. I've only been called on it once, and to that I've simply said, the extra 40-50 bucks is a very necessary tip, for all that saliva you couldn't seem to keep in your mouth! But of the 4 or 5 times, I've done that, they usually weren't paying attention.
