    Smiley Safety Issues

Hey everyone! I am Sunshine. Glad to meet ya! This forum is great, I am impressed with how respectful, intelligent, fun, and knowledgeable the women here are. Glad to be joining in with this sisterhood!
I am not yet a dancer, but I have my audition this week. I have been reading as much info as I can so I'll be prepared, been practicing in the mirror, getting my costume ready, etc. I am so excited about this !
My one major concern is SAFETY. Have any of you women ever had a stalker, or been in a dangerous situation as a result of an overzealous customer? For personal reasons I must make sure that my safety comes first. I think that is the rule for everyone. Safety first.
    Thank you ladies.

    First, welcome to Stripperweb!

I think just about everyone has been stalked to one degree or another. I had a guy try to follow me home recently. Do a search and you will get a lot of good advice on reducing your risks.

Always have a bouncer walk you to and from the club. And if you think you are being followed take another route home or stay later there.

I just posted this on another thread, but I could say it here too .... Before going to work, make sure you have enough gas in your car to get home. You do not want to stop at a gas station late at night. I'm not trying to scare you, but when I first started dancing, I was about a little over an hour away from the club and it was a long drive home. I did stop one night, around 2 a.m., to get gas at a well lit convenience store. I actually became nervous when another vehicle with two guys pulled up. They were just getting gas, but the way they were staring and the time of night made me uncomfortable. Nothing happened, but it was enough to make me think about the what ifs. I ALWAYS MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH GAS IN THE CAR FOR THE RIDE HOME!

What do I do if I am being stalked? Do I drive past a police station? Try to lose them on the road? I know you should drive around the block or take a U turn to see if you are being followed, but what do you if you know for sure someone is following you?
I would be working during the day and leaving in the late afternoon.

I have never been stalked, but I do always worry about it. I guess if I knew for SURE i was in danger, I would write down the liscence plate number. Then call the police. Definately make a habit of keeping gas in your car, or having somewhere to go other than your house for safety. always look behind you (in your rear view mirror) and be aware of your surroundings. Always keep your cell phone on you too.

If you notice someone following you.....Find an open place. A store, Police station, hospital, etc. I had someone try and follow me home. I pulled into a fire station, and told the men there what was up. One of them was nice enough to follow me back home.

I carry a gun for protection but that's not something I'd advise everyone doing. You can always bring pepper spray with you. Make sure your phone is fully charged. I'd make a buddy system as well. When I know I am suppose to clock out at a certain time. I'll tell my friend that I'll call her at that exact time....So let's say you're getting off at 1 am. You'd call Bob at 1 am to let him know everything was on the up and up or to just say "Hi". I've always done that and it's worked very well.

Always have a bouncer walk you out. Avoid at anytime walking to your car alone.
