Default My weekend at the movies.

Yeah...so I spent every night this weekend at the movies. For lack of nothing better to do.

My wasted weekend is your gain. Here are my reviews.

Friday - The Aviator - Good movie....but very long and slow. Great acting. It was just about 30 minutes too long. But I can understand why. They had a lot of information and history to get across. I liked it. 3 out of 5 stars from me.

Saturday - Lemony Snicket's a Series of Unfortunate Events - I really liked this strange strange movie. Yes its for kids. So what. The ending is weird. There is a lot of the movie that is not explained...YET...there will be sequels. Jim Carey did a great job. Its funny, sad, interesting. If you dont like unrealistic far out there movies...you wont like this one. The movie covers the first three books(i think)

Sunday - Oceans 12 - I really liked this movie also. I would say its just as good as the first. The ending is a littel jumpy...making it slightly hard to follow. But overall very good....funny....quick.

Yeah...so im a big loser...but I got a new movie partner out of the deal and made a good friend(which is rare b/c i dont really have any "girlfriends"). Next on the list....Blade Trinity and Meet the Fockers.

    Anyone else see any movies?

Awww, cutey. Glad you posted this, my sis quit working at the movie theater so I don't get free passes anymore! "The Aviator": I was wondering how they would explain Howard Hughes' strange last years.....

Howard Hughes definitely is a strange strange man. They did a good job with it from what I had read about him.

I think they did a great job with Katherine Hepburn(sp?) also.

There definitely was not enough Kate Beckinsale in the movie tho You can never have too much of her.

I saw Catwoman. It was awful. Halle Berry looks good but the movie was retarded.

****I watched some Chris Rock television on HBO, which is always amusing. But I haven't seen a movie in a theatre since Hero.

Let me know how Meet the Fockers is.

I saw this one too on Saturday (with the kids) and I also really enjoyed it. Jim Carey does an AWESOME job portraying Count Olaf. The reason the movie ends weird is because the story is not over! You're right I also heard there will be sequels (yay!) but it seemed to me that the movie only covered the first book. I just started book 11 last night...The Grim Grotto.

ok A, you were right. I consulted the experts and they have informed me that the unfortunate events movie did indeed encompass the first 3 books. I was confused because they took elements from the different books, yet the movie ended identical to the first book.

I saw Spanglish - it was surprisingly good! Perhaps even Oscar worthy. Hopefully it will be a sleeper. This is not your typical Adam Sandler movie.
