I would say, required? no. allowed? maybe.
I know of quite a few clubs in Philly that have them. They seem to be a staple at those clubs, and there's a very noticeable decline in the number of customers after the show. I'm sure they can be fun if the girls are into that kind of thing, but, at my club, the girls get uber-pissed and bitchy if no one is tipping, which is understandable. Some nights the girls make a killing doin it, other nights, they're basically doin it for nothing.

where i'm from there not allowed, but i have been to one and it drives the men crazy, especially if it's with a non-dancer.
the slutty one
Lesbian shows are allowed in most clubs I know of (I'm in UK). How explicit they are really varies from club to club but IMHO, a lesbian show isn't a lesbian show without some real lesbo action. I've been in clubs where a lesbian show won't even allow kissing or touching of the other dancer except light brushing of the boobs, and others where full on cunnilingus is allowed. It really is a wide spectrum. Best talk to management if you really want to know what is allowed. If you have stags/birthdays/whatever, they can be good moneymakers and really reel in the money for you and your partner(s). They also show you are a little uninhibited so even if you don't go the full way, if you can put on a good show, the fact that you can entertain seductively with another girl can really get the mens' boats a-rockin'
My toughest lesbo show challenge was with 4 girls for one guy. It was a bit of a wild orgy, not as easy as it may sound. We all had to get raunchy with each other, it was weird, but it made us a lot of money because the guy then recommended us to his friends.
