Has anyone tried a colonic? How was the experience and did you feel lighter afterwards. Also, did it effect your eating habits?
I know this is an odd subject for some but any input would be appreciated![]()

I want oneI have serious issues with going to the bathroom. I probably need it more than I want it.
I haven't done a colonic where I go somewhere and they shove water up my ass (or whatever they do). But, I am doing a colonic right now. It's more fiber therapy, parasite riddance, and just re-balancing your body.
If you want more information, go to this website: http://www.drnatura.com. It's really good.
I haven't been doing it long enough, but Scorpio said that he has a lot more energy and his body feels "cleaner".
Save yourself a lot of money and buy two 60 cent 10 oz packs of spinach and eat it for dinner. That will clean out your colon.
If it has to do with my butt....I'm all in!![]()

Well, Monty a colonic is like a super flush for you. It can take out alot more than just whats in the lower colon. It can do alot more than some laxative or hot prune juice can do for anyone. It flushes ALL of your old "junk" out. Its the rolls royce of bowel cleansing. Thanks VG Ima go check out your site.

Sounds like a colonic...but w/o a tube up your bum. I looked at the site and seemed pretty good to me. I need more energy. Besides, the junk I eat doesnt help. I need to get all of it out. I wish I could start over in there LOL.
I like the thing you and VG suggested sounds something easy to do w/o going to the bano all the time.

It takes a month (sometimes more) but it's easy on your body and is painless.![]()
Way cool Venus! You just litterally saved my but! I would prefer this over the pain thing even if it takes a month to be cleansed!THANKS!![]()
^ You can maintain the effects of good intestinal health by changing your lifestyle; it doesn't have to be like what passes for the American diet.
Two cents.

I assure you TM, I was not being sarcastic when I suggested a periodic large quantity of spinach. Not only is it highly nutritious but high in fiber. Believe me a big old wad of spinach fibers going through your colon will clean out your system like Sherman marching through Georgia. Not to dicount the probably highly beneficial effects of the product recomended by Scorpio and VG, look at the dietary benefits of spinach.Originally Posted by TigersMilk

A 10 oz pack of spinach would have more dietary fiber than the recommended dose of the commerical product at a tiny fraction of the cost. Ths spinach adds Beta-carotene (mg)
2.4
Vitamin C (mg)
17
Folate (mcg)
116
Manganese (mg)
0.5 All this times 4
The tea in the product Scorpio mentioned does sound tasty though.
how do you find a person who does colonics?

Not yet. I am looking into it. I dont want any person up my butt unless its for pleasure or with a certification![]()
I dont even know the prices? VG you might have suggested it hurt. I couldve read it wrong?
Thanks Monty for the food tip. I try to eat high fiber foods. I am still having pain fromconstipation. Im tired of being in pain and looking into other alternatives.

I've never had it done...I just don't like people going into my butt...LOL.
My cousin had it done and said that it can be uncomfortable...but not painful.
I am also concerned with the putting of anything up my butt when I want the stuff to come out. I've heard that if you are impacted, then the edema type colonics can actually sometimes make you more impacted.
Monty, I know that spinach is high in fiber...and is very nutritious...however, after decades of eating pestisides, perservatives, etc, I feel like my body needs a really good cleansing. Scorpio and I are also starting a newer, healthier, more veggie/fruit diet and felt that we should do the colonics to help clean out our bodies.
Everything is going good so far...Also, the tea is wonderful!! I love drinking it every night and it's good enough to drink without adding anything to it.
If you are wanting to go to a place and have a colonic done, then make sure that you research well and find someone who is highly specialized in the field. The best way to find someone is by word of mouth and then researching that person.
If you are looking for places, try searching colonics online and see what comes up.![]()
RE. SPINACH
It's not a good idea to eat alot of Spinach due to the high levels of Oxalic Acid. I think it's recomended to only eat a serve a week. There are plently of other things which you can eat or consumme and will have the same effect though - anything high in fibre, or a dose of Magnesium (Epsom salts will do.) or a high does of Vitamin C...
I haven't tried Collonics but people I know who have swear by them. Just do them on a work day / night as wind and diorreah may follow for the next day or two...
>Oxalic acid occurs naturally in quite a large number of plants. The human body also synthesizes oxalic acid from ascorbic acid (Vitamin C). Oxalic acid may combine with calcium, iron, sodium, magnesium, or potassium to form less soluble salts known as oxalates. Oxalates also occur naturally in plants.
Since oxalic acid binds with important nutrients, making them inaccessible to the body, regular consumption of large amounts of foods high in oxalic acid over a period of weeks to months may result in nutrient deficiencies, most notably of calcium.
Oxalic acid is a strong acid, and is irritating to tissue all by itself. Extremely high doses are fatal. Oxalates, on the other hand, form tiny little insoluble crystals with sharp edges, which are also irritating to tissue. So, high levels of oxalic acid/oxalates in the diet lead to irritation of the digestive system, and particularly of the stomach and kidneys. They may also contribute to the formation of kidney stones (the most common form of kidney stone is composed of calcium oxalate).

that's really strange, aussiepunk... cause i'm reading a book right now that says you should eat spinach at least once a day because of the nutrient density of it, and doesn't mention oxalic acid at all...
