    Default Tanning and Dancing

    Three quick questions.

    1) I have long, straight, dark brown hair with green eyes and pale skin. From the description I've given you, do you think I'd make more money if I tanned or could I make just as much with the Casper thing going on?

    2) Are there any free sites with mini clips that show some basic stripping moves?

    3) Do girls who are good with pole work generally make more money than those who aren't?

    1. i am sure you could make money with pale skin... but instead of going with the "goth" look, as a lot of girls do, think 1950's pin-up girl.... dark red lipstick, glamorous eyes, beautiful gown.

    2. hmm.. not that I know of. your best bet is to visit your local strip clubs and watch what the other girls are doing

    3. Pole work is good for the the entertainment value, but it certainly doesn't dictate your potential earnings... how well you can chat it up does

    hope this helps!

Id say go for the tan..it makes you look thinner and accents your muscles and cleavage. It would look very sexy and exotic to be brown with green eyes, a beautiful combination. Also, I dont know about you but every now and then I get my share of bruises from the pole or on my knees, and I think they become less obvious with more tanned skin. Just my opinion...

if you feel sexier with a tan, that is also a reason to tan

The biggest misconception that non-dancers have, that all dancers know is that the stage show is a very insignificant part of the job.

You make the big bucks from getting guys to like you and want to spend time with you.

Hmmmm...has anyone tried stripping with and without tanning? Did you notice a difference in attention and tips between the two?

I actually live really close to the beach so it would be easy enough to tan, but ever since I fell asleep in the sun a few summers ago and ended up with a lobster skin tone and blisters all over my face, I've decided pale skin might not be so bad after all.

There really isn't a difference for me with a tan versus no tan in terms of attention from guys, but if I feel better with a tan (and I do), it comes across in my confidence, which does have an effect on my money.

But I self-tan, because another thing I learned from dancing is that women that keep a constant tan DO look older than they actually are. From business standpoint alone (which is why I tan), it makes no sense to have premature aging.

I ABSOLUTELY feel a lot better with a tan.Under black lighting,it looks ever darker, not to mention it accentuates all the right areas.

I have very pale skin and i do well. I also Have red hair, but i work with a pale brunette and she is one of the top earners. If your skin is naturally pale I wouldnt tan it is bad for your skin, espeacially pale people. I do the pin-up thing also. If you do tan try the aresol spray on stuff, it wont damge your skin and it isnt orange. Yu will learn stage as you go and they are right about the stage set...it really doesnt matter. Just watch the other girls and dont dance too fast. Good luck dancing.

I have dark brown hair, green eyes and pale skin as well and while I'm not a dancer yet I too am trying to toss up between tanned and pale skin. I like pale because it is different and I like how it looks on my face but I love how tans make my arse look cellulite free.

I would only ever use tan out of a bottle or spray tan. I don't believe in baking myself on a beach or solariums. Very very very bad for your skin. Not just aging but health wise.

I say try both. I first danced tanned (mysic tans are the best!), but found out I make alot more money and get more attention being pale.

I don't tan and I don't think it affects my money. I don't tan because I don't want to spend too much extra time getting ready with self tan (I'm slow at it) and I'm thin and I think it would make my natural boobs look smaller. I've gotten compliments on my pale skin from older gentlemen too. I say tan if you think you want to look thinner- if you don't then don't bother tanning.

I tan often but I don't see it making a big difference or any difference in how much money you make. I think some women look beautiful with tan skin, and some look beautiful with lighter skin (pale, even).

Airbrush tanning is awsome and the color last's for five day's. Plus, they get every inch of you.

Mystic Tan works for me cuz I def look better tan especially since I dyed my hair from light blond to almost black, I need to be tan so I look more healthy rather than Morticia. Plus it gets really dark and I wouldnt be able to get that dark in beds and it only takes a minute or so.

if you don't mind me asking, how much do the airbrush tans/mystic tans cost?

I too debate on the tan or not to tan question, I feel sexier with a tan, however I don't see it affecting my earnings - as soon as I'm in the club for some reason being tan, or lack of, doesn't even affect me. Although I have heard that when I tan it makes my red hair (natural) look fake.

I think it all depends about how you feel about yourself. If you are more comfortable with a tan than tan. If you are more comfortable without a tan than dont tan.

You can find many used tanning beds online or in the papers... its' the electricity that costs so much, which is why not many people have their own, including me.
