    Default At home waxing (ouch!)

I decided one day I wanted to wax the hair down there, so I grabbed one of those Sally Hansen strips, smoothed it on in the hair growth direction, ripped it off against the grain, and screamed. And guess what? It didn't even remove a single hair! Since then I've just stuck to shaving, which I hate. I can only shave once a week or else I get horrible irritation.

What at home waxing products actually work? And is there anything REALLY bad that can happen as a result of waxing?

Never done at home waxing. Don't believe in self-toture.... I want someone else to torture me instead. Besides, I feel that the salon I go to would get it done in half the time that I would take to do the same.

Go seek out a professional. They will, at least, use proper wax that will do the job.

I mostly go to a professional when it comes to waxing.

But I've bought a few waxing products that have worked wonders.

Gigi, and Anastasia....They are both kind of expensive. I've found that going to a professional is a lot cheaper.

If your going down south to take it off them have someone do it. If your doing your arms and legs then you can do it..thats easy. Just dont let the wax sit on for too long or you will be missing some skin laters.
I just did a lil wax strip well on my 2nd hole and it hurt like a biiootch but I took alo with it.
For anywhere else I recommend these lil wax strips you warm in your hand. I thought they were fun for like face fuzz and arm furr. Not that I am some Ewok but you know.

The only time I waxed myself at home was to do my arms and I was about 14, so you can say that i learned from that experience and just go to a professional.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

Go to a beautician for down south...the last thing you want is tearing off skin down there! you can do small touch up jobs yourself but for the initial all off stick to the experts. Somehow it hurts less when someone else does it.

if you do it incorrectly, which is easy to do, you will bruise the skin. this is caused by pulling up on the wax and not keeping you hand down to keep the skin from following the wax up. You can also cause bleeding it will look like little razor cuts in the skin this usually happens on skin that has not been waxed before. Only a small percentage though. these are hard to stop bleeding also.

the first few times I suggest that you get it professionally done. After about 3 or 4 times you will feel comfortable with it and at that time it is ok to do it yourself it yoiu know how to wax. be sure you use a dry oil to keep your skin from being inflamed.

I suggest using a hard body wax that you pull off and not the strips. the genital is a very sensitive par of your body unlike your legs and back and arms. You need to give this area special attention. Some people will still use strip wax but i prefer the hard body wax.

just buy a burner and melt the hard body wax. try them all and find the onel you like

I can't wax - last time I had it done in a salon, I came out in blood blisters which I had to have removed by my doctor.........every time I had it done before that I was left red raw and blotchy.........I'm sticking to Nads from now on!
Work like you don't need the money, love like you've never been hurt, dance like no-one's watching..........and never cry over something that can't cry over you
