    Default covering up bruises

recently, because of me screwing up my body with the wrong vitamin supplements and being super clumsy, i've gotten these hardcore, really big, REALLY ugly bruises on my legs. i've been covering them with foundation which worked a little bit, then i used some undereye cover up on them today and they looked better, but people still see them and ask about them! i'm very self-concious about them and i feel so gross right now... and if i have one more dancer or customer insinuate or outright ask if i have an abusive boyfriend, i'm going to scream!

i need suggestions on how to cover these things-- both products and application suggestions, if you can. they are on the outside of my thighs so there's no clothing i can use to cover them up, and my doctor said that they are going to take probably up to a month to heal! help girls!

use a green cover makeup stick you can buy it at any drug store this will make the bruising not as noticible then always cover up with foundation like you have been doing. You can use a green or yellow stick depending on the color of your bruises and you skin tone. this is also great for covering up shadows or circles under the eyes..

Ohhh, I have bruises on me legs too when I get home from work and I don't even work in a club that allows floorwork. (I guess just from occasionally kneeling on stage to take tip or kneeling bet their legs for lapdance.) I've had bruises since I started dancing too.

I read here that Arnica cream from GNC will make bruises go away faster. I'm getting some. I use Colorstay foundation on my bruises but that hardly makes a difference. I like the idea of opposite color coverup on them.

i know i use green on my face, to counteract red, and i know that yellow is for undereyes to counteract the blue, so i would say try the yellow, because in my experience, bruises tend to be more bluish than greenish... and trust me, ive had to cover them, im SO clumsy!! especially in those stupid stripper shoes, lol (when walking around the house to break them in)...

I've used a professional tattoo and general ick cover from make-up artists choice (http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/conceal.htm). Use the waterproof setting powder as well and it shouldn't transfer or rub off and looks more natural than coverstay in club light.

I would suggest doing this *after* getting some color in your skin from tanning (real or fake) to help camoflauge more.

My coworkers swear by Sally Hansen's airbrush legs, but I use MAC studio fix. It's for your face, but isn't as obvious when it comes off (i.e. not all over the customers clothing) and is really easy to carry w/ you for touch ups. In the meantime, arninca gel when out of work and vitamin C supplements will help them heal.
...and the day came, when the risk it took to remain closed in a bud became worse than the risk it took to blossom.

yeah, i can't do vit. c because of my whole iron issue (which is how i ended up here in the first place!), but vitamin k is what the doc said. so i'm eating spinach and broccoli.

however, my doctor says that bruises do not heal faster because of vitamin supplements-- what happens is you strengthen your resistance to more bruising, but once those blood vessels are ruptured, its just a game of waiting them out.

here is another suggestion that's not makeup related...how about dancing in thigh high boots, like the h-2's from tony shoes found on liquiddreams.com? I bruise really easily and I've found wearing boots protects me from bruising when I'm crawling around and whatnot. Plus, they will cover up existing bruising while you're healing without having to worry about putting makeup over them, will the makeup rub off on a customer, etc.

I don't even mess with makeup on my body since it sweats off and usually more trouble putting on and doesn't last that long for me. Self tanner or bronzer usually hides them enough plus the lights at the club.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

can't wear thigh highs-- one because its my best friends style (she wears them everyday), two, because its not my style (i always wear knee highs), and three because the bruises are located around my hips-- they wouldn't cover it up anyway.
