    Default The Sky is Falling!

Freezing rain all night....changing to snow and wind. Looks like half of the tree in my backyard has bit the big one. Lights have been flickering, so I'm just waiting for the power to go out....and we don't have a fireplace. Hmmmmm....this could really suck. Not to mention my inability to keep up on the incredibly important goings-on with StripperWeb. I know the threads cannot possibly survive without me.

What kinds of good storms have you weathered? I always enjoy them....watching the limbs fall is kind of exciting to me, provided it doesn't hit my house. And seeing limbs encased in ice is just beautiful.

I worked at the bike messenger company yesterday and the rain was coming down through most of the morning. A steady downpour with lots of cold wind thrown in for good measure.

That wasnt nearly as bad as walking into an air conditioned building where the temperature was set lower than the temperature outside !

I was walking around the buildings, offices and courthouses dripping rainwater the whole time. I almost felt like should have been a swimming - rather than a bicycle - messenger.

I hear ya Mojo... I woke up to 12" of snow... IN THE STREET!! at 6 am this morning it was 36 degrees, and raining. 1 1/2 hr drive to work which normally takes me 25 minutes. As I was walking through the parking lot from my car to work, the rain turned to snow. oy vey... it's going to be a long drive home

I wish I could post some pics, but all the sky cams around the area don't show too much... guess it's pretty accurate for what it looks like outside my office right now.

Eek. Snow sucks, sorry guys! But, um.. Can ya keep it there? LOL

On second thought, just send enough to cover the ground Xmas morning. I have this trick that I do every year, and it doesn't go over real well without snow (I've done it a few times, and they were quite puzzled.)

Anyhoo, I get my hubby's boots, and a can of that fake snow spray stuff. Then I coat the bottom of the boots and walk from the door to the Xmas tree and back to the door again. It leaves the "snow" prints everywhere, so the kids get SO excited and say "Santa WAS here!" LOL.. It's priceless.

So, I'm hoping for just a light dusting, no more no less.

    Beggars can't be choosers...and I'm an over-achiever.
