The only Bush i like is between your legs.

I came out a car accident with a shattered hip and ankle, and I am still able to dance.I have no memory of it at all.The orthopaedist said I would never walk again.

I should be dead a few times over. Miracles do happen. I used to hate the idea of "God's Plan" but now I can live with it....I accept that means things might not keep going good for me, though......

Yes, & in guardian angels believe it or not.![]()
The day I got into my car accident, I saw how my car was going straight to the divider wall & thought at the moment right there that I was going to die. The car was a total wreckage, really fucked up. If you saw you'd think someone probably died in it. And I came out of that car in one whole piece. Nothing happened except me bumping my knee against the stiring wheel.

i do believe in miracles cause i was one. i was born three months premature and weighed 1lb and 14oz then dropped down to 1lb 6oz. my heart stoped and my lungs collasped cause the doctor overdosed me on some type of medicine. and then tried to hide it from my parents. that is how i got my scar below my belly button. they had to put a tube to my lungs to help me breath i was in the hospital for like four to six months i think. cant remember what my mom told me. then two weeks i was home in my crib there was a drive by my living room was shot up and a bullet missed my head by a inch. so i believe in miracles.
No.

If you mean the magic carpet-ride to candyland type of miracle, then not really.

Not at all.
No one makes things happen but you and me.
I think i'm too much of a realist to believe in miracles.![]()
yes! I od a few years ago and lived!
the slutty one

No.
Sometimes they happen and you don't realize it. Better is when someone else tells you, "You must have someone looking out for you, because...."
< Motorcycling accident in 2001 broken back (2 places) broken ankle (also in 2 places) no feelingor motion from my ribs down - my diaphram was inoperative! I was breathing only by the muscles in my ribcage. I should have died, my passenger did. We both fell off a bridge(to make the story a lil shorter) and the drop was around 45'. I had 13+ hours of reconstructive surgery and was told I would probably never walk, or at best would need a walker for 5 years. During recovery in the hospital I regained use of one leg. My left leg was completely unresponsive. I made it to crutches before I left the hospital (3 months).
so far it is a "Miracle" I am alive period.....
then 8 months after my surgery my left leg begins to respond to stimulation - the muscles have done nothing for 8 months but I can make them twitch with some consentration! I begin working with this. it takes time but I have amazed doctors - I have been kicked out of therapy for recovering too fast, I didnt fit the program they had set up for me.
and now I walk close to normal, my left leg is still weaker than my right but fully functional, and I have regained 80% feeling in my body from the ribs down.
I miss my wife,
and I still ride....
Yeah, but it's really easy to say something like that. A 'Miracle' to many people equals 'the impossible made possible." Not winning the lottery, or surviving a car crash. Last year, when the ice was all over the place, i was RUN OVER BY AN EIGHTEEN WHEELER (Some of you may remember my posts on this issue on this very website). I skated away without a scratch. It easily could have gone the other way (Too easily for my tastes). But nothing magical was at work. The laws of physics, which God may or may not have set up at the moment of creation, were at work, not Magic.Originally Posted by madmaxine

In other words, weird twists of 'fate': Yes. Magic: no.
If you're a skeptic, then miracles are explained by as-yet unexplained physical phenomena.
If you're a believer, you'll seen the unexplained as miracles.
If they exist, they exist. I've seen evidence of things that classify as miracles. If it turns out that they're explained by physical phenomena, then they're not miracles after all.

when the doctors told me it was a miracle I made it to ICU, I believed them. ill still call it a miracle.
no magic involved - fate is/was definately in on it though.
[Dude! run over by a semi ? that is a hell of a story, glad you made it! ]
Not sure.
Miracles? Well i don't understand why the little boy/girl was killed in a car crash while all others walked away without a scratch for an example.
Confusing, and i like to believe in the power of prayer for a miracle, but at times it all seems to fail.
Dunno. This is coming from me, who belives God gives life, but does not take it.

Well, prayer does seem to help in some medical stuff. My opinion on that is that it's psychosomatic, but who knows (But it usually only helps believers, and then only if they are doing the praying themselves or know others are doing it).Originally Posted by Pamela
To me, a talkative bush that happens to be a major league fire trap is a miracle. Manna from Heaven: Miracle. Parting the Red Sea: Miracle. Curing the blind by touching them: Miracle. Walking on water: Miracle. The Rams winning the Super Bowl: Uhhhhhhh, no... Living when you should be dead: No (that happens a lot).
People can call things miraculous all they want, but usually there is another, easier, explanation (Occam's Razor). As the late Carl Sagan used to say "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." This isn't to say that an extraordinary claim isn't true, but it should be scrutinized before anyone just jumps into believing it (Careful scrutiny is always a good thing, as the followers of Jim Jones realized, or didn't, just a tidbit too late).
Nope
