    Default work-out dance music

I'm looking for some quality, high energy dance music that's good for working out. Mainly, entire alums, but single song recommendations are ok too. I'm on a huge workout kick right now. Maybe it's the holidays....

i.e. I'm thinking good house or progressive...

well, there are about 25,000 varieties of house and progressive. I do feel that you should tailor your music to your workout. Your heart rate tends to match up (or try to) the BPM (beats Per minute) Of the music, so you might want to listen to hi energy stuff when doing cardio. For a good Hi-NRG Mix (135-145 BPM) Try stuff by Paul van Dyk, Armin van Burren, or Tiesto.

personally, I'd LOOOOOVE to get my hands on the "aerobicise" soundtrack. I don't think it exists though.

The problem with most compilation CDs is that they rarely are without their flawed tracks. This is perfectly acceptable for a DJ, as we just don't play 'em, but for working out it's not as convenient.

I would recommend either of the Crystal method Cds, as every song is good on them. They don't have that high BPM that you might want, but they more than make up for it with the sheer power of the music.

I will think of some more for you and post later.

I love Richard humpty vission, DJ Irene, and DJ assult. They always seem to have upbeat albums. Why don't you burn a workout CD for yourself? Find some tracks that you really like that get you movin and put them all together for the ultimate workout!!

TechnoAxe is pretty helpful, there's a few gems in there if you dig deep. I do like to check the bpm of a song before I use it on any video just to make sure it fits the groove of my video production, I do that one then I'll head over to technoAxe, Machinima Sound and CCMixter to see if I can find any of the tracks royalty free.
