hi ladies, Just wondered about this. How do you ladies keep your money together throughout a night of work?
hi ladies, Just wondered about this. How do you ladies keep your money together throughout a night of work?

Either locked in my suitcase or I'll carry a purse with me.

i try to keep mines on me, and trade in my $ 1's for the bigger bills. so thought i dont have a big bulge to walk around with.
I dont strip yet so I hope this doesnt sound stupid. How do you carry money on you if you aint got no clothes on?? Do you give a lap dance with a purse on? What about when its your turn for the stage? Thankso

Good question though hun LOL.
This is why many girls have garters and they sometimes put a rubberband around it to keep it there. Some chics like mini purses and the rest I guess put it away after a dance. Sometimes purses can be left behind and youll never see it again.
I used to put mine in a mini purse a really really really BRIGHT one so I dont forget it after a dance.![]()

The midnight glancers and the topless dancers

Sophia - no. I like to wait until I go home to count all my bills or else wait until I'm definately finished work (normal clothes) before I count/organise my money. My reason is that I feel that I "jinx" myself when I count it. I feel that if I really take count on how much I have done... and I've done rather well... I can tend to get lazy. It also works the other way.. if I count how much I've made before I have really finished work that night.. and I realise I havn't done that well.. I usually become sad/frustrated.
As for where I store it? Garter. If not a garter.. then somewhere with a combination lock (and the combination is something unusual so it will take awhile for anyone to guess as I had set the combination).
If I do stash the cash somewhere with a lock.. I like to do it inconspiciously if there are other dancers about or when there aren't any dancers about.... this way they don't really know where I keep it.

I saw this awesome purse awhile ago that strapped to your wrist and looked like a rose, long before I became a dancer, wish I could find it again! Eliminates the worry of leaving my purse somewhere AND having money-bunch on my garter.
I set my purse down during the dance, pick it up afterwards. Also frequently deposit money in my locker, I try not to carry more than change for a few dances [in Bmore, dances were $30, so some guys only had twenties on them, so I tried to carry around a few tens and fives].

i generally do the mini purse thing. while I'm on stage I stick it right in the middle - it's kind of a hexagonal shaped stage, so if anyone were to try to take it up there I would definitly notice the guy/gal crawling across the stage and almost tripping me to get my purse. When I do laps I set it on the floor next to the couch, usually against the wall under my shoes and clothes. When I forget my mini purse I usually do the fold the money in half and rubber band around the ankle strap of my shoe, or use a make up bag. (This has only happened like twice)

in my purse or locker, but over the night i'll trade my bills up so I'm not walking around with a bunch of 1's.
I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.
I think the garter and rubber band is the safest- that's what I do. Just to make sure what I make I get to carry home- I hear about girls getting money stolen. Once I got alot of balled up ones and I put them in a suitcase but I usually keep everything on me.
I use a garter with a rubber band wrapped around. I also try to cash in all of my ones. I have worked in clubs that require you to use purses, but I hated that.
The garter idea works for most girls, especially if you're new and not used to having to keep track of a purse. I personally can't wear a garter (I'm kinda short and think they chop my leg in half and just make me look shorter.) but I know some girls who just tie a ribbon around their ankle and rubber band it around that. I carry a purse and always make sure that it is something eye catching and distinctive. (i.e. a purple lunchbox style one with penguins on it!) Everyone knows it's mine and if they see someone else in it or carrying it, something is wrong.

The Deja Vu clubs in SF (most of them are) make you carry this mini caboodles-lunch-box-thing. There's this sticker on it that says Dance Fees and a little explanation that dancer split proceeds with the club. and it has a little money slot cut into it. I hate them. They're all in the ugliest colors.
