Default what do you think of dancers who refuse to take off their clothes?

As customers, what do you think of dancers who, in a topless club, refuse to take their top off, or dancers who in a full nude where taking the bottoms off is optional, choose not to? Does the girls reason for not taking off said items of clothes change your opinion? For example, if the girl says, I don't think the customers *deserve* to see my boobs, or if another girl says, I don't take my bottoms off because I don't feel comfortable.

I have no problem with the optional bottoms thing. I don't go to SC's to stare at cookie. Besides, girls who go all nude and aren't comfortable with it look very awkward on stage. I don't sit at the stage that often and, as far as private dances go, my retired atf was an all-nude dancer but we both felt more comfortable in the champagne room when she kept her bottoms on. When it comes to private dances, making the woman feel at ease goes a long way towards how much you are going to enjoy the experience.

As far as the optional tops thing...well that really wouldn't be stripping now would it? I can't understand how a girl would remain employed if she refused to at least take her top off.

The only exception I can think of is when girls don't get naked on stage because it's slow and there are no customers sitting there.

I've been to several clubs (never more than once) where the girls don't undress unless there is a certain minimum number of customers or until they collect a certain amount of tips. Both rules are really dumb and keep the number of customers to a minimum. It's a sure way to discourage business. Other than that, I have no problem with girls keeping their bottoms on, in fact I usually prefer it. I think most girls are sexier looking in skimpy bottoms than in nothing at all.

I've gotten a lap dance from a dancer with such a hot outfit, I'd wished she kept it on instead of going all-nude (she went away and changed before Icould tell her). Another dancer didn't take her g-string off on stage because all the other guys weren't tipping well. I was tipping well, so she pulled it aside when she came by me. I got a lap dance from her which was merely "okay," and she kept her g-string on. She was tipped well up-front for a lap dance advertised as all-nude. That did bother me. Had she been a great lap-dancer, or told me upfront when I tipped her that she'd keep it on (so I could adjust the tip appropriately) I'd have been fine. As it played out, that was my first and last dance from her ever.

I agree with the above. If a dancer does not feel comfortable topless (in a topless club), then she probably has chosen the wrong job or at least the wrong club. So I guess I would feel put off by a dancer who refused to take her top off--I would certainly be less likely to approach the stage and tip. As for the bottoms, there I don't have a strong preference. As long as the rules (e.g., for lap dances) are stated up front, I'm fine either way.

"no tipping, no stripping" A favorite quote.

If there is no one at the stage tipping I sometimes will stay dressed. Most of the time taking something off can encourage tipping, but if that doesn't work I have been known to strip in reverse and get dressed while dancing.

If you don't want to dance naked, don't work at a nude club, work at a topless club instead. If you don't want to take your top off at a topless club, work at a bikini bar instead. If you don't want to wear a 2 piece bikini at a bikini bar, work at Hooters instead. If you don't want to work at Hooters, tell your lazy ass unemployed musician boyfriend to get a real freakin' job and start support you for a change.

Seriously, I stopped going to one topless club because they gave the dancers the option (for a higher stage fee, of course) to leave their tops on, and there would be times when 60% of the dancers would do so. Very aggravating for the customer, who came to see a show. My personal policy is to never reward a girl for doing the absolute minimum possible to retain her job and, no matter how hot she may be, never get a lap from her.

Same for nude clubs. If the routine is to go topless for the first dance and nude for the second, you better take the clothes off. If I've never seen you before, all I have to go by is your performance and your apparent attitude, neither of which appears to be good. In LA, where stage tips are a very small part of your income, what you do with your five minutes onstage will go a long way to determine what share of my bankroll (if any) you get that visit.

    I don't know any.

Actually, I don't think about it. They can do what they want. The only times I look at the stage are when someone new is up, someone I want to see is up, or someone is hanging from the pole at ceiling level. Other than that I'm pretty oblivious to the whole stage thing.

If I go to a topless club I am expecting the girls to be topless. If I am going to a all nude club, I am expecting her to be nude. I can understand that if the girl is new and she is uncomfortable with it then I have to respect that. But if she doesnt want to be topless or all nude (depending on club) cause she isnt making tips then I think she should be booted or have to pay more. If you dont want to lose the clothes cause you arent making the money then go work at a bar or restaurant.

I don't have an issue with it and assume there is a reason. I am often the one in my group who tips the dancer before she begins to remove the clothing, in fact. Especially if I really like her outfit....which I always point out, of course.

I've never been any place where girls don't take off tops... in fact, that was rule #1 at one place. "You MUST have top off by middle of first song."

lestat 1, you've violated one of my cardinal strip club rules: NEVER tip up front. If a girl asks me for a tip up front, I either find another girl or I leave. Sorry to get off topic but I felt compelled to reply to that post because it's something I find extremely irritating in a club and is one of my pet peeves. Like a girl who won't take off her clothes when she thinks there aren't enough customers. Like that's my fault?

i won't get undressed if NOBODY has tipped me (and yet they are all gawking) That pisses me off. I don't go to work to put on a free show for some broke ass losers... dancing is how I pay my bills.

I don't expect those men to go to their jobs and work without pay. To everyone who's bitching about girls NOT getting undressed on stage because she is not getting tipped, the solution is simple: if you want to see a girl get naked on stage, make sure you tip her to do so.

lol.. I have been known to keep my top of too if there is no business. However taking my top of seems to encourage tippers.

this happens very rarely at my club. there have been one or two girls who wouldn't take their bottoms off, or if they did, they'd keep their dress on and only drop them like the last 10 seconds of the song or something, and management dealt with it pretty swiftly. on the other hand, when i have 3 girls onstage at once, it's generally 1st song clothed, 2nd topless, 3rd nekkid...in that order, so someone is always at one phase or another. i would say at least 50% of the time the girl who CAN be clothed for her first tune is already down to her thong halfway thru the song anyway.

otherwise, the only time girls tend to keep their bottoms on on the center stage is when they want to do pole work, since doing it nekkid is gross. and in that case they do some groovy tricks, spin around a bit or whatever, then come down and drop trou. i can understand girls not wanting to get nekkid for no cash, and sometimes when it's dead, say when we first open, some of the girls will only get topless instead of fully nude. especially if 5 guys come in and sit as far as humanly possible away from the stage. (which i hate and is probably another thread entirely.)

Susan-Va, I can't imagine that there'd be no one at the stage tipping if you were dancing...

I really don't care if the g-string stays on or off. I would sort of wonder why a dancer in a topless club would not be...topless

I too have done reverse stripping. I don't ask for everyone to tip me, but I do expect some people to tip. I have mainly dealt with this on weekend nights, though.

I don't go to work for free and I think I deserve at least some tips while working.

I always take the clothes off. Always. I don't wear bikinis and just pull the top aside, or wear a skirt and pull panties out from under it, or wear a tube dress and pull the top down and bottom up. I find all that stuff extremely lazy, unprofessional, and reflecting a poor attitude. Strippers strip. Only time I don't remove everything is when I'm wearing a catsuit where I physically can't remove it on stage - then I pull it down far enough to show the goods.

Alot of times guys are waiting on the clothes to come off before tipping. MOST guys tip on stage for something they like, and a stripper NOT removing her clothes is not usually part of that equation. I don't care if only one guy is in the club and he's not tipping. My clothes come off on stage.

Just last night I got called to the vip glass stage (2nd floor) and no one was up there other than the vip staff. I still went up and danced, took all my clothes off (dress, bra, panties), and played to the guys downstairs who were staring up through the glass-bottomed stage at me. I didn't make a single tip that set but I had 3 guys waiting for dances from me when I got back downstairs. The girls before and after me who lazily went on and strolled around with their clothes half on didn't fare so well.

I wouldn't over-simplify quite like that. In the Baltimore/DC area, pretty much all the clubs are nude. And what if someone can't travel to work because of kids, school, what have you?

When I was dancing at Hustler Baltimore I avoided going on stage as much as possible, and often kept my bottoms on because I've gotten used to dancing topless and don't like for guys waving a buck to get the same view my gyno does. Not to besmirch nude dancers, because I did it for years in DC, but I've been able to make money without going that route.

"No tipping, no stripping" about sums it up. Otherwise, our job by definition involves taking off our clothes.

This sort of thing really doesn't bug me that much unless a lot of the dancers are doing it. I hate going to a club because the club has advertised itself as "nude" only to find that a significant number of the entertainers aren't removing the advertised amount of clothing. That to me is bait and switch. I don't know if it's official policy or not, but dancers at my old favorite club here have started doing this, and I refuse to go back there until they get with the program.

Now, If its just one or two dancers, I figure that I always have other options available, and being the forgiving soul that I am, even those gals have other means by which they make up for the lack of advertised nudity.

And while I'm not moralizing here, in my experience, dancers who don't take their clothes off (or take them off rather late in their set) make less money on stage, and sell fewer private dances than those who do. The "no tipping, no stripping" rule might seem like a good idea theoretically, but it doesn't seem to work in practice, at least not around these parts.

Nonetheless, I'll do what I can to get a hot dancer out of her skivies.

At the club I was at, pretty much everyone operated under the "don't strip unless they're tipping" I usually did the opposite, because like other girls, I've found that if there are customers in the club they might only come up to the stage if I'm without clothing - it has happened a few times one or two guys will come up "It's a shame for you to be dancing up there for free." Is better than $0, after all.
There have been a few times I've not removed my top, mostly because I've forgotten pasties and a few times because the few customers in the club are refusing to spend money for whatever reason. It has happened.

I've been told by the dancers at the club we frequent that there are rules for stage dancing there as well. For example, by the end of the first song they have to be topless...by the end of the second down to a g-string only...etc. So this really isn't too much of an issue... Usually customers will be at the stage tipping, but I have seen cases where the dancers wind up entertaining themselves at the mirror...

Interesting...I was just wondering what everyone else thought, because I was feeling like a hypocrite. Up until a few days ago when I started taking my bottoms off, I was working in a nude club where it was optional to do so and just leaving them on, because I've onlyt worked topless before and was uncomfortable taking them off. (Note that there are no topless only lap dance clubs in my area). then I went to visit another club which was topless stage dancing only, and I saw a dancer there who never took her top off. She refused to do so because she felt that customers "didn't deserve to see her boobs".This rubbed me the wrong way and made me think she should go work at hooters, until I realized that I was sort of doing the same thing, but for different reasons. (this happened after I decided to start taking my bottoms off.) So I guess I was wondering if customers make a distinction in the reasoning, or think differently about not taking your top off vs. not taking your bottoms off.
