    Default Yasmin: new "pill"

Well, I know we've discussed, Seasonale, the "pill" that you only get 4 periods a yr. from. Now, they've been advertising above listed name, for shorter, lighter, periods. I've been on their site, yasmin.com, & it looks pretty interesting. Anyone tried it, or know anything? thanks.

I have been on Yasmin for about 2 years. It is the best pill I have taken although one negative side effect was a small weight-gain(about 5 pounds).
However, It has helped with P.M.S alot. I used to get terrible migrane Headaches right before my period every month and now I rarely get them.
It also cleared my skin. I rarely ever break out anymore.

Aside from the weight gain I really like Yasmin.
And also it has something in it that helping with bloating and water retention and alot of women have weight loss while taking it.
So I guess it depend's on the individual person.
    It's worth a try though.

I tried the Ortho Low and hated it. Lots of break thru bleading. Been on the Yasmin for about 9 months now and so far, I like it. Definetly helped with my bloating and PMS. No weight gain for me but I've been consistently on the pill for years so I was just changing brands not starting out.

I started Yasmin about a week ago. So far, the only side effect is nausea. I've tried most of them over the years, and had to quit for various reasons, so we'll see how this goes.

If you're worried about the expense, check with Costco. The Yasmin there is around $35. That's pretty much the same as the Ortho formulas. You don't need a membership to get prescriptions there either. When you go in and they ask for your card just tell them you are there for the pharmacy. I don't have any kind of health insurance and they have the best prices on my birth control as well as the ridiculously expensive asthma inhaler that I take.

I've been on Yasmin for about 4 months and I love it. It really does shorten your periods too. I have implants so I'm not really sure about this, but one of my friends has gone up two cup sizes while she has been on Yasmin.

if the brand name is too much ... try the generic , those are about 10-20 bucks cheaper than the brand name.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

I tried Yasmin and my body didn't take to it well at all.

My doc was also taking it and she told me it made her boobs huge and really tender, not in a good way.

When I was able to take the pill, Demulan is one of the most established brands for getting light and short periods.

I wasn't overly thrilled with Yasmin, I did not have any horrific side effects, but it killed my sex drive (so far, every pill I've taken has done that, though!) I did not get any extra boobage, though, damnit. I'm trying out the ring right now, no real opinion yet, I'm only on week 2...

I've been on it a year now. No change in breast size. Deffinately lowered my sex drive, big time. On the good side, My skin hasn't been this clear and glowy since before puberty.

I just started yasmin a couple of days ago. No naseau yet, fingers crossed it will stay that way. I always have a huge problem with being terribly depressed and have horrible anxiety when i'm on other b/c pills. Has anyone experienced that with Yasmin?

I've been on Yasmin for 2 years now. The nausea was bad for the first 6 months or so, but it's like that with every pill for me. I stuck with it because it cleared my skin and I didn't gain any weight.
