Recently at work, when I went around for my tip, this guy says to me, "But I didn't even enjoy your dance [but I was looking at you until my beady little eyes nearly fell outta their sockets!]" In this case, it was very evident that he was making a vain attempt to get back at all the cute girls that have turned him down. His friend had a wallet full of $100's (aka rent money, car payments, etc.) and said to me "Awww shux, I only have $100's." Translation: I just got paid today, and really this money is to put food in my fatass belly and to pay for my pigsty of a house, but I'm going to flash it around so I can make all the pretty dancers think I'm rich." Please.

so many reasons, so little time. ignorance is a big one i think, playing dumb another, being cheap-the biggest maybe, and the tards that nurse their beer at the bar and wanna see titties for nothing. rejection-yeah, but not the biggest factor i dont think.

if you came for a beer, go to a bar. simple as that and ive told someone that once.(he was rude tho, he deserved it)

it's differrent when you don't tip at the stage, but then only buy dances. but then when the girl walks down, notices how you've beeen googling her for nothing you better be prepared to buy a dance. the guys that do that are good in my book.

young guys, they just dont have money most of the time. they look very out of place and confused to me. and when i tell them the price of a dance they freak out, say nah, but i'll buy you a drink. GETTING DRUNK DON'T PAY MY RENT BABY! i think they think they can pick up strippers and date them or something. i dunno bout you ladies, but i dont wanna meet my boyfriend at work....'specially if he too broke to spend 20bucks on a dance.

then there are just the scubbags of the world who are poor, dirty and will tease you with a dollar and make you dance for it infront of him like yer his slave...and excpects you to stay there the whole song for him and his $1. if i come up to a guy on stage and dance more than a few seconds, pulling my garter as far as it will go pointing as to say "insert money here, i dont have all day" and he still doesnt i move on and wont come back to him until he tips. ive been on stage and called over to one guy, did a little booty rump shakin and pulled my string for his tip. "i dont have any money baby!" WTF did you come in here!?!?!?! i said: "hope you enjoyed it, i wont be coming back over here." then later on he asked me for shorts on MY cig!!!! get the fuck out right?

CHEAPOS!!!!- as someone said about the beer thing....if i could COUNT the times a man has tried to negociate a cheaper dance price from me, i'd be a millionaire. one even tried to say he'd give the vip hostess (you have to pay $10 to get in, $20 for the dance) 5bucks.....i was like no baby, that money is not hers....it goes in the register. then he said he'd give ME $5!!!!! i was like you have got to be kidding me!!! thank god i get my money upfront now....it ruins the mood but who cares. he kept going and going....."how bout about $9(yes he said...NINE!), how bout $15?" no 20 is 20 is 20....i said you have 5 seconds to decide and i sugggest you just give me the 20 and get your dance b/c your NOT getting your ten dollars back from the hostess.

IGNIT/playing dumb: some people really just think we are fucking millionaires who drive our bmw's to work and sleep in a bed full of money. i've had to explain to so many ppl how WE pay house fees, bouncer/doorman tip outs, bar tip outs, dj fees, part of the lap dance moneys go to the club, some places they make you pay for your rooms for dances!!! just people just dont get it or they arer playing dumb and dont wanna spend money.

ALSO, this might go with the rejection thing-i think some guys just think of us as dumb hos and they get to look at us and we dont deserve to get paid for it. yeah, there are some dumb hoes....but some of us do it to pay bills, pay for school, rent, food, some of us have to pay for fucking DIAPERS for kids. not every stripper is a cracked out dumb whore who is just there to waste their time and be punished for your shattered relationships with women.

the thing is , i dont know the REAL BIG reason people dont tip, i just wish they go away and make room for the ballers...and when they come in i forget alllll about my nasty non tipper experiences!
    fuck it.

Every Wednesday is $3 Drink Day where I work. The place gets packed, barely standing room. And yesterday, with a full room....I made 6 dollars on one stage set. I'd say, all of the above with the exceeption of revenge.

Cheap and Rude followed by severe ignorance...

I love it when my dj says, "what's wrong guys, did your mom forget to give you lunch money this morning"?

guys do not get away with not tipping me if they are watching my performance. first of all, you cannot sit your punk ass at any stage anywhere in portland without tipping per person, per song. that's just the industry standard here. granted, you are not required to tip if you aren't at the stage, but that gets handled also. my favorite line is "if i'm not cute enough for a couple bucks, i'm not cute enough to look at. turn around." or i ask guys "are you a rookie?"... when they give me a confused look or ask what i mean (or say no, haha), i say something like "well, i didn't want to assume you were an asshole, and if you watch me without tipping me, you're one of the two."

i will never, ever, EVER let a guy think that his fucking dollar means anything to me. when guys walk up to my stage with a dollar in their hand, hoping or thinking i should get all excited and appreciative, and stand and gawk, they aren't going to get a very good show, and i'll be damned if they see much of anything (nudity is fully optional at my club).... also, when a guy acts in some dumbshit way like i should earn the dollar bill he just put on my stage, i will fully give it back to him or look dead at him and not pick it up. if two people are sitting together at my stage and tipping one dollar between the two of them, i will rip it in half and place each half in front of each of them without a word. if a specific asshole insists on being cheap and none of the girls are making money off him, i will get him booted out. that simple.

i guess you could say non-tippers are my biggest industry pet peeve.

for the new guys that may be from out of state maybe can't do that at the clubs thewre use to? but for the regs it could be, pickyiness, maybe they think if they tip the girl will more likely come over and try and get adance, or it could be because they are shy, who knows they could also be broke.

Damn Reighny . Lol, I hear you though. I had to laugh at this poor sap the other night who was sitting next to me at the stage. My ATF had caught his eye earlier and he bought a dance from her (which cost him all of his $ except his last $2). She got on stage to do her set, and was one pole to the left of us, about 10 feet away. There was a girl on the pole in front of us doing a set as well. The girls started dancing and stripping, and the guy wanted to give his last $2 to my ATF. Well, the girl on the pole in front of us became livid because he was sitting at her stage, gawking at her while my ATF was turned around, not tipping her. She started calling him all kinds of nasty names, which caught the interest of my ATF who thought she was yelling at me. After yelling at the custy, the dancer stood up, leaned against the pole and refused to dance the rest of her set. Was she justified? Absolutely. I just felt for the guy, his heart was in the right place, but his ass was in the wrong seat.

i work in a fully nude club and if guys sitting at the stage aren't tipping, i don't take off my underwear. i will take off my top though or maybe give them a small crotch shot, cause sometimes they don't tip till you start getting naked. one time when i was done with my set, i smiled sweetly at this guy and told him "i need a dollar from you for letting you see my p*ssy" cause he didn't tip at all, and he laughed and gave me 3. i think i should do that more often. how can they say no?

I second this statement. As hard as we try to educate the clientele, sometimes it is just an uphill battle to convince them that the door charge does NOT go to our paychecks!

I feel that this is the #1 reason for non tipping customers in my region. Once they realise that we are not paid they become a lot more generous. (And want to open up a strip club themselves because the think the clubs are making gobs and gobs of cash!)

I voted for cheap, but I agree many custies think that we get paid hourly by the club to be there. When they find out that, unless they give us money we work for free, they usually try to pass over a dollar (not that I'm saying one dollar for a two song set is good or anything) OR then change their tune to "well I'm broke."

I remember once when I had just started dancing I was sitting with this guy on a Friday afternoon and I asked if he has to go back to work. He says, and I quote, "No Im done for the day. Do you have to go to work later?" I couldn't believe my ears so I replied, "I am at work." and he says, "This isn't work, this is pleasure." So....guys also seem to think that we come to the SC because it's just such a pleasure to us and NOT because we are expecting to make money. I'm not sure if this is a minority or not...as they years progress I am beginning to think not.

Try working in Australia! the rules here are you get naked on the podiam for $20, and you get that sometimes like 3 times a night but you pretty much gotta hustle for it. What usually happends is that the mother fuckers sit at the podium your dancing your ass off and when you ask them can I get naked for you sweety? there like no, I got no money! and I always reply: "then move these are tipping seats" but they usually ignore me so I get security and they get thrown out, harsh, but they dont do there jobs for free, they have to learn. Plus they are hogging the seats for someone who will tip. When American guys come to our club they always tip, thats so nice its a little thing but it makes my day. Ausie men...pffft... fucking cheap tight asses! not all but most.

Like I said in another thread. The only thing a dancer can do to get tips is to put on a good show. Hell, I don't even tip if a dancer is doing a crappy job on stage.
However, the question is about the men who don't tip anyone. The polling choices (in my opinion) are respective of that. Had the question been directed at the male population as a whole, then yes, I agree that the choices are a bit flawed. But when referring to the men who come to the club with the intention of sitting there and not tipping or buying dances, I see these answers fit.

I think it's a mix of being cheap, rude and gennerally an asshole.

No for the selective tippers, I can't really fault them for it. They have a specific style or type that they are looking for. I'm the same way, I like men who fall under one type and women who fall under another.

But the guys who have seen everyone in the bar at least once, and not tipped anybody; I get p'oed.

It's BS but other than causing a scene or being rude, what can you do?

If I am rude to one person, then they will tell their friends and their friends will tell theri friends......and on and on and on.

I guess I was taught how to dance in another time, but I usually just suck it up and go on. It's very rare that I will call a guy out on being a dick.

We have a regular at my club who doesn't tip out of revenge sometimes. He is some anti-social rolly polly drunk who tips girls one to two dollars a stage shift, but if you don't take the time to say hello and hear his rambling on about working as a bell boy at the local hotel he's been known not only to not tip, but he'll ask the other girls to tell you that once you earn back his respect he'll start tipping you again. I personally would risk losing the two dollars so I dont have to be poisioned with his horrible smelling breath blowing in my face while listening to his boring rambling.
