    Lightbulb Just an idea

So i was thinking of making something akin to a business card...on it would be my stage name,my work hours, and an email that i will set up exclusivley for this also the name of where i work, their number and address

i was thinking of handing them to every customer whether they get a dance or not...seems like a way to drum up repeat business, have guys bring there friends back or just keep myself on their minds after they leave...when they pull the card out at home or see it in their wallet maybe they will want to come back and see me just a chance this could work you never know

any thoughts on this? good idea or bad...let me know what you think?

Hi!! I think your idea is great!! Will you be able to fit all of this on the card? Cause you should be sure to include a big picture of your sexy self on the front as well.
I was thinkin of doing that a little while ago, and putting my stage name (which I still haven't finalized yet, haha), and the e-mail for me, and a big picture on the front. I want guys to be able to access my schedule and wish list etc. but I don't have a website and probably wont be getting one. I wish there was a way to post my info on the internet under my hotmail without having a website...

This idea has been brought up several times actually. The primary issue is that you hand a card to a cop and the next thing you know you're explaining all of this to a judge. Even though what you are doing is innocent, it can EASILY appear as though you are conducting illegal activities. Whether you are or not is completely irrelevant...the appearance to a cop who just wants to bust someone is all that matters.

if you decide to do it, my sisters agency gets hers from vistaprint... the prices seem pretty good, especially when they have pictures on front and back, in color, etc... good luck

Yeah, in some places it is illegal to exchange information. Here in Chicago, you can get arrested for giving a customer information (like a business card, phone number, etc) or receiving information from a customer (the same). I think it's just better to stay away from that.

Also, is there a difference between giving cards out when you are outside of the club environment to get the guys to come in and giving them the stuff inside the club?

Aside from the issue of legalities that DW brought up, do you really want to hand these cards out to everybody? Not every guy in your club, or even every guy that buys a dance from you is going to be a good candidate for a repeat customer. Some guys don't buy dances, some are attached to other gals, some who will buy dances are going to be rude and grabby, some are going to be out of towners, and some would interpret your gesture as a means of hooking up for outside the club activities.

IMO, it would be better to use your hustle time to screen your candidates and only hand out such contact information to those whom you feel comfortable working with, and have taken a clear interest into buying dances from you.

As far as having cards printed up, I wouldn't bother. You can give your current work schedule pretty efficiently by word of mouth. Anything that you would have to need to have in written form (like an e-mail address) could be done with a pen and a pad of post-it notes, and handed discretely to the customer.

If you insist on having cards printed, realize that your current schedule or club could change at any time, so having them professionally made might not be very economical. You might want to instead get some desktop publishing software like Microsoft Picture It!, some white card stock, and make them yourself. This way you only have to print only as many as you need, and can change what's on them if neccesary.

In any regard, its nice to see a gal who understands the importance of getting repeat business. Customers who are intent on spending money like to go back to places where they feel that their patronage is welcome.

Some new girl at my club tried this. I'm happy it wasn't me.

What we forget since strip clubs are so normal to us, is that many men, as they walk out the doors, rid themselves of any evidence of their visit to the club.

...They shake off any glitter, and throw their recipts in the parking lot on the way to their car. Same goes with a card with a strippers name and schedule - they end up in the parking lot. This girl who handed these things out came early (before dark) one day and saw her cards all over the area around the door. She frantically tried to pick them all up because she realized a) other employees would think she was pathetic for trying such a stunt, only to have all the cards thrown on the ground, and b) any cop with a brain cell would pick one up and walk in to ask the manager who 'Bella' is and why the customers need her phone number to 'make an appointment'...

    blah!

I would tell customers when i would be there. But they forge at times. So i gave out my cell phone number. Made it clear that if a customer is going to the club and i am not working, call me, as i lived very near the club at the time, and worked tons of hours amnyway.

With his cell, he has a password. Nobody can get to my number but him.

    Worked well for me.

One time i had a toll free number as well i gave out. Made it clear to call (only my regulars got it anyway) only if this was for club dancing.

I have an easy to remember email address on a common domain (i.e. hotmail) that I can just verbally give to a customer so they can let me know when they are coming in or find out when I'm working. No paper evidence, no nothing. Something like your: your [email protected].

Amazingly, these guys have a great retention rate for the info and it has greatly increased my repeat business. The big thing, tho, is to be very clear about it being a contact for meetings *in the club*. Also, have the grace to never say anything that could be construed as "stripperspeak" in your emails so no one gets busted if an email message is accidentally read by a spouse or boss. Like glitter left behind on a shirt, the less evidence, the more likely they feel safe returning. Take a cue from the tone of the email they send you.

I give out my email to good customers. Then I'll send them an email saying hi and when I'm working- sort of similar to the business card idea although the cards look more professional

(If you give your email out to alot of customers though it can get a bit time consuming to respond to all their emails since they sometimes want to chat.) A couple customers have asked for my phone number but I won't give it out because a friend told me that usually it's possible from a phone account for them to trace your real name and where you live. And if you call them instead and they have caller id they get your name and phone#. I was a little bit more open and friendly before then I found a girl in my club had a stalker.

I hand out cards too. I made them on my comp, and I don't give them to everyone. Mine has my stage name and email only. I decided to do it to get rid of the guys who are trying to ask me out and won't drop the fact that I won't call them or go out with them. I just give them a card and say 'email me, we'll talk later'. And of course the ones that do email me are just asking me out again and emailing me their phone numbers. By giving them something they will think you are really interested. I guess to avoid that, you should tell them to contact you if they are interested in your days and hours, then walk away.

My question is, what happens when the guy goes home to his SO/wife, and she finds the card while doing the laundry? I'm fortunate in that my wife always accompanies me to SCs...but I would bet that many guys could get in big trouble that way. Plus you might also get angry calls from jealous SOs. Just a thought...

I only know of one girl that does have a business card that I have ever had dances with. Thought it was great because it had her picture and her schedule for the next month or so. Anyways I kept the card and sure enough the next time I was in her club, I made sure she was working so I could get more dances.

That is just what I was thinking. The guys who are married or attached, for the most part don't really want to be carrying around a business card with the work schedule of his fav dancer or a skantily clad woman around in his wallet. I think having a business card is a great idea for any professional, but maybe you could be a little more creative in its design. Be ambiguous should anyone run across the card. Create a completely different sort of service that could easily be utilized by any guy....a locksmith service, consulting firm, etc.... only he will know exactly what the card is for and it won't cause any sort of problems in his 'real life' should his wife become suspect regarding his activies.

isn't possible to make the card with your name, schedule and pic and instead of placing your number, place the clubs number on there, so if the customers or a cop tries to call , they will reach your club. Would that lead into legal disputes.
    specifically state on the card,
come see "insert your name here" at the "name of your club here"
for an awesome lap dance and great company!

I think that should be considered if one is really looking into creating business cards for this type of work.
