To be honest GoldCoastGirl you have made a wise choice, no matter what club you decide to work at while in Adelaide it is better to stay with them during your visit. That way you won't get caught up in any of the political bullsht that goes on.

When you decide to come over to the Crazy Horse please let me know and i will do my best to make sure you work as a showgirl rather than a podium girl.

I will be taking you up on that offer. I will have a really decent 'show' to put on by the time I do want to work in Crazy Horse thanks to my involvement in the Australian Playgirls (I have to have a solo revue show performance not just be involved in the group performances).

I would only work at Crazy Horse as a showgirl and probably only for 5 nights during my next Adelaide trip as I want to promote myself as part of those two revue tours.

Regardless, I'm working at 108s for this trip. I did enjoy it there this past week and make really decent money. Like it there.

Well, I'm still in Adelaide until Thursday just not working anymore. I worked this past week and the week before that at Club 108. Refer to my latest posting in my Around Australia thread to get an insight.

Otherwise, contact Natalia if you would like to work in this particular club. I can recommend it however give yourself more than one week at this club as it works differently than almost every other strip club in Australia (not just Adelaide).

Here's a qwick review just be VERY aware that my information might become out-of-date in the near future as the owners are slowly instigating changes within the club (not just aethetically speaking).

There is no door fees as the club takes a 'cut' from your dances. There are three ways to sell within this club: Raffle, Table dances and Private lap dances.

The raffle and table dances are the easiest and most popular to sell.

Raffle:You receive 10 raffle tickets (at a time) which you sell @ $3 per ticket. Once you have sold your 10 tickets you give your 'bucket' to the DJ (as such) who then will eventually 'draw' your raffle. The winner of the raffle is placed in a seat on stage and then given a full nude lap dance. You can do open leg work on stage however due to the fact that there will be those who will move so they can try to get a free perve whilst you do this dance (and/or a table dance) you may want to limit how much you do and/or only do it so that the person in the seat can see 'everything'.

Table dances are $30 for one song or $55 for two songs. When you do the table dance and you notice patrons who are not part of the group you are dancing for obviously there having a look SPEAK UP. Tell them they cannot just stand there and look unless they pay you or the patrons at the table. I did open leg work on the tables however I tried to restrict it to 3 seconds. I promoted my table dances as "tits, ass and pussy show" as there is no real eroticism or sensuality involved since there is no contact (both ways).

Private dances are $30 for one song or $50 for two songs. I personally never promoted the $30 private dance only the $50 one. It is an easy sell in a way as it is only $20 more over the cost of a table dance for the intimacy, privacy, sensuality and eroticism that they will NOT get in a table dance. One way contact (dancer to customer). The bouncers are there to be of assistance if they do touch you.

The raffle is a little hard to get used to selling at first if you are like me and used to only selling private lap dances however can be a great way to 'upsell' to a table dance. One way I did this was to say that the raffle was a "maybe" compared to a "guaranteed" like a table or private dance. (I used the table dance as a way to 'upsell' to the $50 private dance)

This is not a conversation club. You go around with your tickets and change (you can carry your 'bucket' if you so desire however I found just having the tickets in one hand and the change in the other worked well without looking tacky) .... and ask if they would like to buy a raffle ticket after a real short introduction ("Hey, you guys are going to have a good night tonight, aren't you? Let's start the fun with a raffle ticket. It's only $3 a ticket"). If someone hands you $5 to purchase one ticket, just emphasise that it's only $1 extra for 2 and will increase his chances.

Remember that the owners do not suffer cheapskates lightly or those who dis-respect the dancers (by propositioning them or whatever) so please do speak up to the owners about these particular patrons. They will go over and "remind" them to spend some money or be respectful .... if they do not spend or keep causing trouble... they are removed.

This club is not the most glamourous or biggest of clubs in Adelaide. The patrons can sometimes be gruff, rough and not so pleasant (as some will go "No thanks" to you even before you have opened your mouth) however it is a gem. Worth a go. I personally enjoyed my time here and will return to it the next time I want to work in Adelaide.

It's open from 8.30pm Wed-Sun. Closes between 12.30-2am depending on patrons Wed, Thur and Sun. Closed 5am or later Fri and Sat depending on patrons.

PS.. Take a rug. It'll help your knees not hurt so much on the tables and floor of the club.

PPS Contact Natalia if you want to work at this particular club as she works there regularly.

    Hell yeah

Due to the fact that the ATO (Australian Tax Office) has started to clamp down on strip clubs (esp. along the east coast of Australia) alot of clubs will not hire dancers without the right documentation.

Granted, from what I have heard (as I'm an Australian so I don't require a work visa to work in my own country ), work visas are pretty easy to come by in Australia.

Count me in !! It's going to be a blast as I'm a Ford gal

I made my choice. I prefer V8s (motorsport) over Commonwealth games.

Firstly, alot of dancers will be heading to Melb. under the mid-guided notion that the Commonwealth games will mean more money (just speak to anyone who had the 'privelage' of working during the Sydney Olympics.. a much bigger event.. *sigh*).

Secondly, I'm hoping to create work for me during Indy so I do not have to go thru any of the agencies this year (don't have to give anyone a 'cut').

    Go Ford!

I had a 'falling out' as such with 108 so I won't be returning to this club anytime soon.

It's sad that all this had to happen during Clipsal. I really do enjoy the motorsport and the whole event was 'wrecked' for me due to this incident. *sigh*

I wish 108 the best no matter what they say about me (they probably will bad mouth me as they have done so to other dancers in the past - really should've listened to the people who warned me about this club). It didn't work out for me however it does work for some.

That's all I have to say. I will eventually go back to Adelaide ...however not for quite awhile (mainly due to waiting for the Exotic Angels national final to be done so I can have a 'title').

"Water off a duck's back" in the end.

thought i'd post in here to say that i'm considering going to work at the palace!

i already posted about this in the private dancing forum, but yeah, basically they've told me that i'd be able to work like 2 or 3 weeknights and still do my private parties on the weekend, and if i feel like it, come in after i finish my parties on the weekend. it's quiet season for private show work now, and i'm getting bored of doing nothing all week and only working on weekends.

i'm in a competition there on tuesday or wednesday night, and i think the week after that i'm gonna do a few trial shifts. i'm really happy that they're cool with me working for an agency as well - a lot of clubs don't allow girls to do that.

sp has anyone here worked at the palace? i'm kind of excited about it. the girls there all seem really nice.

well, i'm not going there expecting to make heaps of cash. if i can go in on a thursday night and make $100-$200 whatever, that's my car payment made for the week.

mostly it's just because i'm bored and i'd like something else to do, and the crazy horse don't allow girls to work outside the club.

yeah i have heard that from some of the girls that worked there. doesn't worry me too much, i had to put up with that at kisses. i know that they'll give me stage shows and that'll bring in a bit of cash, if i can get the odd lapdance here and there and make enough cash to cover my car payments, so i can save all the money i get from shows, i'll be a happy camper.

The Palace. Yup... My first ever trip to Adelaide I worked at The Palace.

All I have to say: Do not do VIP dances. This is where alot of the 'extra' stuff will be proposed to you (and happens). Plus the pure fact that the only benefit is to the club in the end as they do get a higher cut from the private dance whereas you get the same as you would if you did the dance in the shared room.

Regardless of the amount of dancers, you can always make money (remember the 80/20 principle - it is v.true for the clubs). Plus regulars are the name of the game for The Palace. ... try to establish some regulars (even if they only visit once a fortnight or month or something).

Here's the post in particular I posted quite awhile ago when I worked there:
    http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...3&postcount=11

I really doubt much has changed.

i read your other post, and it all sounds pretty much as i'd expect it to. everything you wrote in there basically sums up everything i've heard about the palace lol

but hey, it can't hurt to give it a go. i'll get paid for shows, which is cool. i do have other commitments and as long as they're prepared to work around them (which they seem totally cool with doing so far) it should be fine. there's no way i can work til 7am if i work there on saturday nights - i work as a promoter & photographer for a nightclub too, and i need to be there at 5am to start!

i'll have a chat with sarah when i go in for miss centerfold. at this stage, i'll definitely do a couple of trial shifts, and even if i don't like it i'll post my findings up here

    G'day Darcy
Just wanted to say good luck with the competition.
I also checked out your website, very interesting.

It's a shame you can't do a deal with the Crazy Horse, who did you speak to anyway, because i'm sure you'd make some good money along the way. But no matter where you work, getting the regulars is where you will really start to make the money. By the way, if you ever need any music made up let me know!

i spoke to joseph at the crazy horse, he said they'd love to have me but i'd have to give up my private shows and work exclusively for them, and i'm just not prepared to do that.

do you dj around adelaide? my boyfriend is a dj too, i wonder if you know him...!

i'm not going to bitch about it on here, but i'll just say that after what went down at last night's state final of miss centerfold oceania, i will most definitely not be even stepping foot inside the palace again, let alone working there.

well, when you win your heat on the tuesday night, and rock up on thursday night to find the perspex champagne glass bath that you borrowed from a friend mysteriously smashed to pieces at the bottom of the back stairs, i think that's a pretty valid reason to not want to go there again!

Actually, I personally wouldn't leave anything of any value in any club unless it was locked up (as such). That's just me. Granted, I realise the girls at The Palace can be cliquey/catty however what happened to you is a little bit much. At the same time, it further validates my reason into why I enter competitions for fun (and to promote myself)..... regardless, I still say give The Palace a go... just don't leave anything of any value there (or at least locked away/securely stored).
