Default Can you really call it dancing???

I recently just started working at a club in which there is a lot of contact. My whole two years of dancing before working at this club were spent at clubs in which there was very little, to no contact at all. I don't mind the contact as much as I mind the things that go along with it. In other words, I can do lap dances but I can't deal with guys trying to suck my breasts, and play with my nipples, and feel on my "private area" Also I get propositioned for sex pretty often, and most guys ask me if I am going to "get them off" during their dance. I hate this and it makes me feel quite uncomfortable. All in all if you are "[email protected]&#ing/grinding someone, and letting them feel on your "private area", and your breasts, and also lick your breast, aren't you basically one step away from being a prostitute? Where do you draw the line between a dancer being a dancer, and a dancer being prostitute? After all if you are Dry F8$#ing/grinding someone and they get off it's not a tease anymore; If it's not a tease anymore than what is it?

I suggest you work at a lesser contact club.It will not get any better where you are now.

I agree with the ladies above. Don't like it than leave it.

I think everyone's definition of dancing is different. Here is mine: If you are talented (little or lots), use dancing as an outlit for your sexuality and to express yourself then you are an Exotic Dancer. If you are a crowd pleaser and a booty shaker you are a Stripper. If you use dancing as just a means to advetize your body for doing really slutty things for money in private you are a Prostitute or Borderline prostitute. But that's just my personal opinion.

What you or another person chooses to call it is not the relevant issue here. Dancers are working in the sex trade-for better or for worse-and must make their own decisions about what they are comfortable doing or not doing for money. If you are not comfortable in your new club it is best to move on. Being misserable or angry all the time isn't going to help your ability to earn. Best of luck to you.

True.....If you are trying to ward off all these guys so you dont have to do what the other girls are doing then youll just get burned out and end up hating your job.
Almost like with any other job if you dont like your environment...just plain leave. Save up some cash for second and take a week off to relax and get it all out of your system. Then go somewhere else where youll like making money and not feel bad about it.

agreed.. if you are uncomfortable then leave, but if you can't leave because theres no other club in your area then you should be getting paid a lot more then a regular dance if you're letting customers lick u and touch u

I call it dancing as whether I'm doing a private/lap dance or a stage show.... they are both performances. Especially the stage show. At the same time, I'm not always a dancer. I do tend to customise/tailor my routine (lap dance) to the customer(s) at hand...... some are more into the sex aspect of it (therefore grinding and so forth) whereas others are more into the performance aspect of it (flirting with my eyes, certain flirtatious yet sexual moves, sensual touch and so forth).

I agree with Concubine: there are exotic dancers and then there are strippers. How I personally distinguish between the two is skill level basically. The strippers (on stage and off) generally just strut, pose and take their clothes off. Dancers actually put some effort into their performances.

I also agree with Yoda57us: we are in the sex industry regardless if we regard ourselves as dancers and/or strippers... we are still sex workers. Therefore what each "sex worker" is comfortable with is different.

If you aren't comfortable at that particular club, then move on. You won't make money if you feel uncomfortable there.
