    Default A farewell to Rose

Today we lost a great American.
    Rose Kennedy died.

What did she add to the world??

    Alot.
    she invented the special olympics.

    Yup,her idea.

Maybe we should remove the picture of the retarded runner thats been used on this forum out of respect,if not for the retards,at least in her memory.

I raise my morning coffee mug in a toast to her and the life she lived and the impact she had on us all.

Yeah, I agree. Can't go into it, but the pic doesn't need to be there anymore.

I hope you're not being facetious....you're reminding me of Matt Dillon from "Something About Mary." (Mongo on a leash, "...'Retards'!?!" "That's what I said!")

lol sometimes im not even sure!!!

Im really sorry she died and I really think the pic should go.

I will admit to feeling some sort of perverse pleasure in catching the MODS in a double standard on the SW rules.

Actually, it was Rosemary Kennedy, the daughter of Rose and Joseph Kennedy. Rather than inventing the Special Olympics, she was the inspiration for them as she was born mildly retarded. She was lobotomized at 23 and spent most of her life in an institution.

    Wow.
Im reading the paper story on her now and still, not alot of real info on her.

Kinda interesting.I think I will spring a surprise book report on the 16 year old daughter about the subject. Will let you know what i find out.

I think it was very good that Sen Edward Kennedy (if I read that news correctly) was at her bedside when she died. Sounds like she wasn't just tucked away and forgotten.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

"She wasn't tucked away and forgotten" HAH! The Kennedy's hid her away for decades.
She was their embarassment. And they did it to her... They had her lobotomized. For Shame!
And now to pretend to have had compassion for her? What hypocrites.
