lol!!!
There goes another cover blown.
Now that the entire intel community answers to just one office, your going to see alot more leaks like this and covert operations exposed.
Its a power struggle now between the FBI,CIA,DIA,and military intel over who is going to do what and at what level they will be on the totem pole.
Actually some scary times ahead i think.
Its going to take years to sort this chit out,and unfortunatly, the lives of more then a few intel ops will be lost.
Exactly! Like much of the "Patriot Act," this ill-conceived and hastily enacted "overhaul" of the basic administrative and operational control infrastructure of the entire intel system is going to: (1) cause us some major operational problems in the very near future; (2) actually result in a loss of real intel capabilities over the long haul; and (3) seriously impair our ability to keep the intel community from "straying too far off the reservation," as they're wont to do, as we've now largely destroyed the de facto system of "checks and balances" that has heretofore always existed between the "competing" agencies. In sum, this is going to be a clusterfuck, par excellence right in the middle of the kind of conflict ("War On Terrorism") where the system needs to be functioning at its best.Originally Posted by BigGreenMnM

One of the worst results i can see is in the DIA and military ranks, the tops in thier field are retiring because they see it comming,I know a few at 25-27 years and they want out before 30 because of it.WOW!!!!
That says alot to me!Kinda scares the fuck outta me really.
Its going to be great for the private sector.
GS-13's and 14's in the community dont get there for the money, its more then that.
Now our best, instead of protecting America for pride and honor, will be head of security for enrons, walmarts, and time warners at 6 figures a year.
Ya gotta ask yourself how the story got out.
Did one brach sell them out to try to get a leg up??
Thats my guess.
Let the games begin!!!!
The headlines are going to be interesting over the next few years to say the least.
Oh, you know it... the infighting's going to be vicious for several years to come, and they're going to burn each other left and right as they jockey for funding and position. My guess is the two worst fights are going to be: (1) the military vs. everyone else, for fundamental command and control of certain assets, aspects and "direction" of intel gathering; and (2) CIA vs. FBI vs. NSC, as each starts straying into "traditional" areas of others (think CIA will adhere to "not inside U.S. rule? Think FBI won't be looking to rat them out?). This is going to turn into a horror show if it gets too far out of control.Originally Posted by BigGreenMnM

Jesus H. Christ an acceptable intellegence practice used for years, and the media just finds out about it now. Is nothing held sacred.
Guess, somebody wants to politicaly punish the CIA bigtime.... US wars and politics may change but Beltway infighting and agendas do not!!
What next, Anger Managment classes for Osama Bin Laden?
