    Cell phone for customers

I am thinking about getting one of those cheap pay as you go cell phones just for my regular customers. I want to be able to leave my weekly schedule on my voicemail so that when I meet customers that want to see me again (strictly in the club only), they can know for shure what days I will be there . I'm really against calling customers myself, because I don't want to intrude on another womans territory, but I have so many customers say that they came in on a day that I wasn't there, and they missed me. I want to know if any other girls do this and how it works for you. I'm even thinking about getting business cards with my name and number.

If I were you, I would make up cards, you can buy a large pack of blank cards from somewhere like stapes, and just type and print the weekley information on those. Also, it helps to have a consistent schedule, then you can tell them exactly the days you are working. Also, see if the club has anything like taking the girls schedules, then the customers can call and see when the dancer is working. If anything, I would go with email. I wouldnt do the cell phone thing.

unfortunately, my club is really poorly run and the business is very inconsistant, so I don't have a weekly schedule and in fact, my club does not even have a schedule at all. Girls just come and go as they please. I was thinking about email, that is a good idea. That way I can reply to them at my leisure thanks for the advice.

Be sure that the laws in your area do not forbid you to do this. If you hand out your phone number, email address...LE can interpret it as "intent to prostitute" yourself...and you can get into a lot of problems. Before you do this, make sure that you have a very clear understanding of the laws, by-laws, rules and regulations regarding this.

Oh, I didnt even think of that! Good point. I think the business cards are a good idea though, since it is the place of business you are inviting them back to.

I have an email set up that I use only for customers. Hotmail.com is free and works well.

Like I said before, understand the local laws. In Chicago, you CANNOT hand ANY information to ANY customer for ANY reason unless you want to be standing next to a bunch of North Ave. hookers. It doesn't matter if it is a business card, email address, bubble gum wrapper, mentos box top...if you hand someone ANY information or way to contact you (besides rattling off the club phone number) you can be arrested for intent.

Know your laws...don't fuck around with it...if you get caught...it will go on your record and it will fuck with anything else you want to do.

    Be careful.

^ It's a good idea...but only if it is legal.

I did what you are contemplating, and it turned out to be a huge waste of time. Every single customer who I offered my number to thought I was trying to hit on them. It does not matter what I said when I offered the number. To man, girl's phone # - getting a date and maybe sex.

I had the stupidest conversations with these idiots when they would call me. I say don't bother. Now, I am friends with the coat check lady, I tip her a few bucks, and she takes messages for me and tells customers when I'll be in. (not like I ever show up on time or something, hahha!)

I second the Geocities vote, as well as the vote against giving out a specialty #. Option 2 really is way too likely to result in guys thinking that you're trying to pick them up. At least a site is a one-way communication and will be clear as a promotional thing and nothing more. Make sure you don't put your email on it though!

That's why you dont give out numbers to customers Something simple with the club's info on it with your schedule should be enough, if (as was said) laws are ok with that.

yeah it sounds good in theory but you would have to spend alot more time fielding calls then normally. I already have to deal with random photographers and producers re-introducing themselves. I think myspace is going o be semi-useful to me. The only risk is that these people have access to my real-life friends and aquatainces. Does anyone think this is risky? It's easy for me to rattle off my myspace page: and it is not a direct contact like a number or e-mail which screams "I am available for you to communicate with, here is the direct line" Myspace seems more distant, more like networking....

I have an email address set up for customers, but I don't think any good has ever come of it. Something about the internet makes even polite, mature customers turn into 12 year-olds on AOL who want to cyber/solicit/be my best friend forever/get married/get free nude pictures.

What I do is that our club has come see me cards, so I fill mine out with my name, my typical schedule, AND I give them my christydancer.com info site. It's simply that- my schedule, which I update if I'm going out of town, say, links, and a map to my current club, but NO other contact info. I even say in my little bio- I don't do escorting, outcalls, etc, so even if LE IS looking at my page, they'll understand that I am what I say I am- a dancer.

Have you thought about setting up a MySpace page? I set up a profile under my stage name that is for customers only, no personal info or anything. It just has my schedule and some pictures of me and the other girls.
