    Default Trying to find/verify my late grandmother's phone#-from 1965!

I've tried a few of the search engines, but have found nothing. Tried putting her address in the engine, but found a business is at the address now. It's no longer a residential area.

Would anyone here know if you can find the reverse look-up directories from 30-40 years ago? There used to be a place, run by PacBell, before the merger with SBC, which had phone books going back that far somewhere in Los Angeles. I think on Wilshire Blvd., but I heard it was shut down years ago.

Any suggestions? Please note, not at all a "life & death matter," just nostalgia.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You probably should contact thephone company or check out old library archives to see if you can find the number.. good luck.

I was gonna suggest the library too. They might have old phone books archived.

Yep...if the phone books are archived, they'll most likely be computerized or microfiched.

Lena...probably using it to add to a family tree somewhere.
