Anyone else watching?
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."

I keep comparing it to the original series. Shifting around the ethnicities and genders of most of the characters is a little irritating.
It's better done, but, Jay's right, depressing.
Which I guess the destruction of a dozen colonies and an attempt to hunt the human race to extinction might be.![]()
But, with nothing else but reality shows and laugh-track-booty-humor sitcoms to choose from, I'll watch it.
At least now we know why they had corded telephones hanging on the walls.
And, Boomer's way to cute to be a Cylon.![]()
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

I don't see it as depressing. They have to set the mood, it's not a happy go lucky show. I watched the original series and the new one don't bother me at all. At least they brought it back. I guess I'm more passive about things like this. I would rather have it to watch again than remember the old series. But then I also think they should remake the first (last) Starwars movies.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
The show has a lot of promise, but they sure do a lot of running away. With the old show, they fought the Cylons quite a bit. Everytime the Cylons attack, they flee. Tomorrow's episode has Richard Hatch (Apollo from the original) guest starring.

This Starbuck-is-a-woman-with-more-testosterone-than-the-original-Starbuck thing still bugs me, but, like I said, I'll keep watching.

I really like it, yet the sexual fantasies with the professor or whatever he is, is getting far fetched, yet plays importance. So, in other words I can't wait til Fridays to watch the next episode.
By the way, can anyone tell me what these strs mean? the ones under our names?

Ahhh. Ok I see. Did anyone catch BattleStar this Friday?
I really enjoy the New Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis.
All 3 were good this week.

I still love the show, it's a nice change from all the crime dramas the other networks have! I have not missed a show yet. I have heard that NBC is going to air the shows this summer, Sci/fi is part of NBC.

The Si/Fi chanel is puting out some quality programs ,Andromida/Farscape/Stargate,Atlantis and SG1, as well as reruning alot of the oldies.

yeah i cought it its great
I'm a fan as well, I must admit. The thing that interests me most about this show is this deal on religions, strangely enough. The humans believe in multiple gods while the Cylons believe in just one God...and they continue to beat this theme into us every week. I thought I read somewhere that Ron Moore was going to explore the Cylon religion in depth in the second season. I just hope there is a huge payoff from it...otherwise it'll just get plain annoying.
Heh, so how lucky is James Callis (Dr. Gaius), by the way? Must be nice having most of your scenes with the lovely Tricia Helfer (6) draped all over you in various states of dress and undress.
Personally, I like all three shows that air on Sci-Fi Fridays: SG-1, SG-Atlantis, and BSG. I'm a little surprised that SG-1 doesn't seem to get much more press than it does. I had actually never really paid much attention to it until about a year ago when a friend of mine turned me on to it. I went out and bought the S1 DVD set, and just over four weeks later I had seen the first six seasons of the show on DVD. It's a great, and has one of the best story arcs I've ever seen on television. Unfortunately, it seems they're pretty much setting themselves up for an eventual series end...Replicators all but gone, Anubis presumably dead...who/what is going to be the Big Bad now...besides the Wraith...
...at least the lovely Claudia Black will be back in the first few episodes of S9 of SG-1.
I'm a simple man, making my way through the universe.
In this week's TV Guide their feature story is about Battlestar Galactica and on the cover are three pieces of eye candy: Starbuck, Boomer and Number Six (who I think was a rip off of Seven of Nine) btw. The season-finale cliffhanger should be a good one.

Season finale tonight! Woot!

Pregnant "Toasters"! What next?
Although, she's a cute little toaster.![]()
