    Tattooed dancer

Hello! New to everything here (the board and dancing)- My question is this, I have three tattoos, rather large. One on my arm of a wolf, one on my spine of a dragon and one on my sternum (chest) of an ankh. I also have a few piercings which I guess catagorizes me as semi-goth/punk. I was wondering if there was a way I could make this work for me as my gimmick, and if anyone knows how well they tolerate body modification.
I believe I have a great body and a really sparkly personality, and after I save up one of the tat's will have to be removed anyway (for my musical theater/film career) but it doesn't mean I'm not proud of it and don't love it. So to any of the veterans out there, how do I make this work?

hi it really depends on the club i have tatts and piercings and I do very well but some clubs will not hire a girl with tattoos no matter how pretty she is, so you just need to ask managment about their club policies.Good luck

The best way to make it work would be through your music and with you personaitly. If you pick out hard rock music and wear kinda goth type things than you will do well.

I agree with kryssy. Make your tats part of your look. I worked with a dancer a while back who had tats on her back, arms, tummy, shoulders, etc etc. And she did well. She played them into her personality. And as far as customers, there are ones who like everything. For every customer that dislikes tats there is one who likes them, and more that don't have an opinion either way.

Sweet! I have an ankh on my sternum, too! (Surrounded by wings.) I also have the Eye of Horus on each shoulder and a Djed pillar on my lower back. I was worried about the chest tat thwarting job offers, but my club doesn't mind at all, even though it's an upscale club (Rick's Cabaret, Mpls). I get lots of postitive comments about them, even from customers who "aren't into tattoos." Once they find out they're all Egyptian symbols and get me talking about my admiration for Egyptian culture, they comment how cool, intelligent, deep, etc. I am, how I'm not a "typical stripper." I've found them to be a great conversation starter, which is icing on the cake.

Im in the punk rock scene and i just do my own thing. i dance to punk music like the distillers and rancid and social distortion(if you have any idea who they are, heh). i still make good money. just dont think you cant make money bc your not like everyone else. your just as pretty. and you know it, so show it and guys will see that.
