    Default "Are you in school"?

I go to an Ivy League university, but I feel that when I tell most customers where I go to school, it makes me seem too normal, boring, or girl next doorish. The reason they ask it is because they want to know what brings me to such a small town in the first place. Also I don't feel comfortable with giving out so much personal information. I want to make something up, like tell them I'm breaking into adult film or something. I don't say I live in the town, because that's also boring and because they might start asking where exactly I live. Any ideas?

YES, Neve EVER give out any type of personal information to customers it will bite you in the ass somewhere and cause unfortonate events. That is from personal experience.
Anyways, just tell them you wanted to start over and wanted to make money and just go to school or someting. If they keep persisting into your personal life. Throw some questions about then their way so the conversation doesnt get too off topic (you are sitting next to him b/c you want a dance).

As for making things up and tellin them something exciting DONT please. The next time you see this guy he might as "hey hows the adult film industry going?" You say "HUH?" ....great you just put your whole foot in your mouth and it is not delicious. That will immediatly turn him off no knowing that you lied to him. Making up stories will bite you in the ass unless you can keep it straight. If you are going to slightly sway from your life not an entirely different one. Such as "I go to Miller city college" but you really go to downtown college. That might be a little better if you plan to go that route.

Heheh, if you want to say you're in school say you do phoenix university distance program - who's gonna check into that? If you don't want to say you're in school, though, say "nah, I'm not a student this year, probably next year" and then say you've applied to a lot of schools and haven't picked one. Then follow with something like "com'on, studying is boring, lemme teach you some human anatomy with a dance!" or something, I dunno. Usually I just say what classes I'm taking and then chat about them.

    I gotta remember that one...lol

Yeah, I think I'm gonna drop the fact that I go to school from now on. Personally I think it makes people stray away from buying dances from me. Apparently, good looking people can't be intelligent..... who woulda knew? If you plan on lieing, lie to everyone and be consistent. Not about everything, just where u live and things that involve your safety.

Feel it out. If they seem like the type that likes the intelligent, educated-type women, by all means tell them you're in school. You don't have to tell them the exact school you go to, make something up. It's not like they're going to check up on you, and if they do, then they gotta problem! lol but if they seem to be the type that likes the porn-star-crazy-sexy type, tell them you're getting into the adult film biz. Say the things that you think they like so they will buy dances.

bambi, then you'll get all the guys lecturing you about how you "can't be doing this job forever and you really should be in school and blah blah blah" I'm already getting that just because I'm taking a semester off! I can placate with the "I'm start in the fall." but not sure how it would fare if I didn't say that. Considering this with the personal questions thread, why do guys TRY to ruin the fantasy and then whine about dancers spoil it? Blah.

Heck, if the man feels like nagging you about your personal life, why don't you say, "School? Why? I wanna man who will make me barefoot and pregnant!" I've known well-educated men who really feel like all women are just walking baby machines. Some people have surprising fantasies......

I don't have a problem telling people I go to school. It seems like a lot of the girls in my club do not, so it makes me stand out a little more. Once it has been confirmed that I do go to school, customers assume I attend the community college. Nope guess again. I usually don't have a problem saying which school I go to because of the sheer fact that well - there are like 45,000 students there, so tracking Jillian (or Jackie - my "real name" --duh jack and jill went up the hill) with red hair - impossible. I've never had it hinder a sale of a dance either, most people in this area are State fans/alumni anyway.

Same here. There are like 50,000 people on campus at any time. If they can find me, they've got super powers.

Be very proud of the fact you go to an ivy league school, just never tell anyone at work you do,and dont tell people at school what you do.Its none of thier business.
Your building a foundation for your future, dont let some fucktard mess with that in any way.

Keep your personal life personal, never break the fantasy while your building your future reality.
    Keep on rockin!
    Best of luck.
