    Default Evaluations

Back in the day my club used to have dancer evaluations. What's your opinion on this? Is it good for the club, the girls? Has anyone ever worked somewhere where this is/has been used? If so what was included on it? I would think things like appearance, costumes, attitude, attendance etc.
There has been some talk, mainly by dancers, that this practice should be brought back. Any insight/opinions appreciated!

I have never been evaluated by a club myself but the thought of it I just dont like. I think that I would get evavuated all day long on appearance, dacing abilities, attendance (some places if you show up late they charge you), language etc. I dont feel the need to be evaluated anymore with work evaluatations. The job if tough enough in my eyes.
OTOH....are there rewards for getting a good evautaion?
The only reasons I would think that a club might need something like this is that it might need a small shape up which in case is a good thing for all who work there except the ones who fail. But, isnt it the job of management to help keep the club profitable for everyone? I see this as another way to monitor you while you are there. If all did their job in the 1st place there would be no need for something like this.

In my opinion, it flies in the face of that independent contractor scam that most clubs are running. If you want feedback, ask for it.

Otherwise evaluate yourself based on the night's take.

If a club wants to do evaluations, they should be paying the dancers as employees. Hourly wage, benefits, etc.

Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

when you are running shows, where girls have to work together and a certain image has to be developed it's not working without evaluating and a little practice. We do it at the sm fetish club. the image is strict and otherwise we couldn't pull off a good show. We get payed too after all.
For a regular stripclub I think an audition and the casual overview on makeup and costumes during shifts should do.

I think you could use your club as the answer.(or any other club that has had them and then stopped)

When they did evaluations, how was the show and customers.
Now that you dont have them,is the show better or worse, more or less customers.

Im not sure i agree with evaluations on paper,I think its the managers job to do it on a nightly basis, open till closed.
If there is a problem with a componet of the show, why wait till the end of the months evaluations to try to fix it?

I am in agreement with Silverbacks comment. I don't need anyone to try and make me anything other than I am. If I need or want advice I will and have asked for it.

Where you might not need improvment in your contribution to the show, others might and often do!
    Most profitable clubs have standards.
If you dont meet those standards(not you)then you(not you) can either conform or move on to another club with different standards.

In Providence clubs, showing up for work and paying your house fee gets you a positive evaluation from management. I guess the ultimate self-evaluation is how much $$$ is in your garter at the end of your shift.

I think quality control is a good thing if it's done properly. My club is finally recovering from a downswing. Over the past 18 months we've had different managers in and out every few months. Each one let the quality controls slide and pretty much hired anyone who would pay the stage fees. The dances got dirtier to make up for the lack of looks, forcing the better looking girls to leave for other cleaner clubs. I stayed only because there was barely any competition, so when the VIP customers came in I stood out.

Our latest management team seems to have their sh-t together and recently handed out "fat" notices to the girls who need to tone up. They were given a 30 day pass for a local gym and will be re-evaluated in a month. I think the month grace period was a smart business move, considering some of these girls pay the house fees 4 or 5 days a week. To just say lose weight by tomorrow or get out would be a poor business negotiation.

In this industry, Your business is your body, so you need to keep it in shape. True some guys prefer bigger girls (I'm one of them at 5'11 and a size 8/10) but no one wants to see pot bellies and jiggling cellulite (which can happen on a petite frame at about a size 6).

We have evaluations. I don't remember exactly what is on them but something like attendance/on time -tardy, stage preformance, appearance, friendlyness, things like that. When I asked the dj about it he said that pretty much everyone gets a 4/5 because "no one is perfect, allways need to leave room for improvement" and that they really dont' serve a purpose. No one cares about it. He said if you consistanly are slacking off etc. then you might get a pep talk from a mgr.

oh yeah I don't know if they really work because everyone gets the same "grades" and not everyone even knows that they exist.

I agree with BritneyIreland. It's true your body is your business and clubs develop a reputation based on the girls they have working there. So why not have some standards at least. In the end it only helps the girls to do well.
