    Default stripper clothing store

I live in a smallish town, big ten college town. There's no where to buy stripper gear, anywhere, even t-bars. There's one dancer that brings in catalogs to the local clubs (15ish within 2 hour radius of my town) and will order for girls, there's another dancer that has a room in her house, plus brings in a rack to the clubs once a month or so.

I am determined to open up a shop in my town. I have a space with uber-low rent, and am not too worried about set-up costs. BUT I want to market to not only dancers, but also slutty college girls (who will of course eat up the clothes). I also want to have more than just clothing. I am thinking:

    t-bars
    outfits
    shoes/boots
shoe/boot necessities like non-slip pads, etc
    floor work/pole work/exotic dance/belly dance dvds
jewelry (ears, necklaces, body jewelry, etc)
"stripper speciality" makeup: glitter, scar coverup, etc

can you think of any other things that I can stock a little or a lot of that you wish your local place sold, or that your local place does sell?

also gonna try to persuade other local businesses to give 10-15% off services to my customers who I give a VIP card to: tanning, hair, nail salons.

    more ideas please!!

considering expanding the idea to include adult products: dvds, toys, bondage equip, etc.

    whaddya think?

    love
    cali

Ok well just thinking. What about mannequins to wear the sexy clothes, change out often, a few cozy dressing rooms, Some adult games, and major promotion hun!!!!

All sounds great! Oh and ALL types of condoms!!

You will have to be really careful. In the area you are in, that would probably be classified as an adult novelty store and you would really have to look into the zoning for that. The city may try to block you.

It would be much better to just open up as a clothing store. Maybe a "bought-again" type place with retro clothes?? And sell your outfits and boots and just another style of college-style clothing. Of course letting all the dancers and clubs in the area know that they can come to you and get that stuff.

BTW, I know that Sapphires in Waterloo has some outfits and boots for sale, along with club t-shirts and such for sale in the club itself.
