    Default Veterans--Census

Just curious, how many dancers and other members of this board actually served in the Military (Any Nation Included).

A friend and myself were talking tonight (he's a lawyer) about how there are so damn few of us who served in the Military, our age (mid 30's) that we a practically a rare fraternity. It made law school fun for him. So I decided to post up a Census on the board to see how many of us there are.

Please, include branch of service and MOS.

Idealism is fine, but as it approaches reality, the costs become prohibitive.

Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

My DAD was in the Navy (USNA Class of 6 and was in Viet Nam in Naval Intel. Went in the reserves in the mid 70's, I think, to go to grad skule and ended up as a commander, but that was all w-a-a-a-y before I was born until when I was very young.

After 9/11, my hunnie and I thought very seriously about going into the military. He's a very big JAG fan, and was really serious. I had just seen that Meg Ryan movie where she was a helicopter pilot in the Gulf War, and told him that if he went in, I was going to try to go in to one of the branches as a helicopter pilot (I'm already a civilian private pilot). Neither of us ever went very far with it, though.... kinda sad, really.

I think that was "Saving Private Meg Ryan".
